Mrs. Jyotsna Govil

Mrs. Govil has worked as a volunteer with the Indian Cancer Society since 1985.  She   was an Awareness speaker, and regularly conducted training workshops and up-dates for new speakers. She was first President of Cancer Sahyog, & first Coordinator of Cancer Jagriti. She has written  information leaflets, has introduced innovative ideas such as Cancer Awareness Film for the Deaf using Indian Sign Language, using FM radio as a voice multiplier. She is presently the Vice Chairman of ICS Delhi. 

She serves on the Governing Council  & Ethics Committee of the Indian Cancer Society, Delhi and is a Founding Member & member Governing Council  of  RGCI&RC, New Delhi. She served on RGCI’s Ethics Committee. She was Hon. Secretary,& later Vice Chairman of its Governing Council.

Mrs. Govil was appointed to the National Managing Committee of ICS in September 2010

In February 2002, Mrs. Govil  made a Fellow and Life Member of the UICC. She is an alumnus of the American Cancer Society University (2005) and was invited to attend the World Cancer Congress in 2006. She was selected as one of 500 of the World’s Cancer Leaders in August 2009, at the Livestrong Conference in Dublin, Ireland.

In May 2013 she was awarded the WHO Regional Director’s Appreciation for contribution to Public Education on hazards of Tobacco use.

She has been awarded Lifetime Achievement Award & the Paul Harris Fellowship by Rotary.   A micro-film on her work has been made by the NCD Alliance International.

Dr.(Mrs.) Vimal Rarh
Dr Vimal Rarh is a Senior Chemistry Faculty at SGTB Khalsa College, University of Delhi. She is one of the leading e-learning experts of India who has made a mark at the national level in various activities such as development of e-content, e-Labs, e-LOs, MOOCs, on-line examination, empowerment of teachers in ICT skills, introduction of newer teaching methodologies etc. not only in chemistry but guided the same for other disciplines as well.

She is also managing three centres working in the field of e-learning at the National level. She is the Coordinator of the prestigious National Resource Centre of Chemistry of MHRD, for development of Annual Online Refresher Courses as MOOCs for all Chemistry teachers of India. She is Joint Director of Guru Angad Dev Teaching Learning Centre (GAD- TLC) of MHRD, Govt. of India and Deputy Director of Centre for e-Learning, SGTB Khalsa College.

Under her Academic, Administrative & Technical guidance, around 50 MOOCs in 4 quadrant format have been developed for SWAYAM and other platforms. She is contributing in policy making at national level in various committees like Online Courses Regulations – 2018 of UGC, e-Governance Committee at UGC and e-Content Committee for National Educational Alliance in Technology (NEAT) of AICTE to name a few.
