It is a course of 40 hours, i.e. 20
hours of e-content and 20 hours of video content. At your time, place and
convenience. You need to devote just about an hour a day for five days in a week. It is flexible course. We need to complete 40 hours in about four months’ time. It will be a blend of e-text, self-check
exercises, tasks, activities, audio and video content, assignments with
continuous and term end evaluation. The most important parts of the course, is,
Discussion Forum, here we all can discuss, comment, suggest and empower
ourselves with the help of the discussion forum. There will be a list of
resources for further studies. There is a group of enthusiastic techno-savvy
experts invited from across the country to support the course.

Dr. NABI HASAN is the Librarian & Head, Central Library, IIT Delhi. Earlier, he
has served as the University Librarian of Aligarh Muslim University. He is the "FIRST
NORMAN E. BORLAUG FELLOW FROM INDIA (PDF)" in Library Information Systems
(PDF), trained in Electronic Library Resources Management at Cornell
University, New York, USA. Winner of many awards, recently he has won the SLA’s BONNIE
HILDITCH INTERNATIONAL LIBRARIAN AWARD 2018 the USA and also been
conferred with the SLP-SLA Asian Fellow Award 2019. He is Member of many reputed
external committees including National Steering and National Advisory
Committees of E-ShodhSindu (eSS) Consortia, Govt. of India, etc. He has an
experience of about 25 years of active library services and postgraduate teaching and has published 15
Books/composite Books and 130 papers/articles. He has successfully implemented many innovative
library projects, including three World Bank/ICAR assisted Library Information
Systems Projects and currently is the PI of the Project on “Strengthening of
Central Library.” Dr. Hasan is currently the President-Elect 2019 of SLA Asian
Chapter, Vice-President – IASLIC, Joint Secretary - ASIALA, and Executive Committee
