DETAIL STUDY OF NATYASHASTRA, SPECIALLY DANCE RELATED CHAPTERS AND SANGITA RATNAKAR

Prof. Dr. Parul Shah is one of the rare combination of Performing artiste, Cross Cultural Choreographer, Bharatanatyam Guru, Dancer, Educator, Scholar, Researcher, Administrator and highly motivated human. She is former HEAD of the Department of Dance and Former DEAN at Faculty of Performing Arts, the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India. She is perhaps the 1st in Performing Artistes; of India to receive the “Choremundus Heritage Master Fellowship” in 2013 and Senior Fulbright Fellowship in 1991-92. Since 2013, she is working on the Major Research Project of the UGC on “The changing dynamics of the classical dance of India with respect to Bharatanatyam”. She has chaired and is member of many academic and cultural committees and bodies on local, state and national level. Prof. Shah is recipient of many awards and honours including the prestigious Gujarat Rajya Gaurav Puraskar.
