This course, for students majoring in Animation, Design Engineering & Game Technology. Here you learn about the design histories and theories to develop creative, technical and analytical skills in animation film production through the exploration of animation production pipeline (CG modelling, texturing, lighting, rigging, Animation and rendering) techniques relevant to a career in design engineering, Visual Effects and animation. In this course we explore animation across a variety of platforms including film, television, advertising, web, motion capture and game design. This course will provide the opportunity for students to develop their transferable employability and professional skills through project-based assessment for Media & Entertainment industry.

Dr. Abhishek Kumar is working as an Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, Institute of Science at Banaras Hindu University.

Dr. Abhishek Kumar is Apple Certified Associate, Adobe Education Trainer & Certified by Autodesk also. He has trained over 50,000+ students across the globe from 153 Countries, top 5 countries are India, Germany, United States, Spain & Australia. His alumni have worked for several national & international movies like Ra-One, Krissh, Dhoom, Life of Pi, Avengers Series, Iron Man series, Gijoe 3D, 300, Alvin & chipmunks, Prince of Persia, Titanic 3D, Transformers series, Bahubali 1 & 2, London has fallen, Warcraft, Aquaman 3D, Alita & a lots. His experience in academic and production environment has prepared him to be an effective Team Leader & mentor of 3D Animation, Computer Graphics, Visual Effects & Design engineering Industry. His technical proficiency & research journal papers have covered a wide range of topics in various Digital Art areas (Image analysis, visual Identity, Graphics, Digital Photography, Motion graphics, 3D Animation, Visual Effects, Editing and Compositing). Through his experience as a Mentor at MAAC (Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics) Training Centers (India) & Assistant Professor at Banaras Hindu University, He has developed confidence and an interest in teaching. He is actively involved in development of the courseware of Animation & design engineering course for various Institutions & Universities as per future industry requirement.

He also authored 3 Books in the area or Game technology, Animation & Immersive technology has been Published with SPRINGER Nature @ Apress.

 Dr. Abhishek has conducted several awareness workshop & seminar in universities, Institutes, colleges and school to make awareness about the future of Virtual Reality, Animation & VFX industry as a career opportunity. He has completed their professional studies related to Animation, computer graphics, Virtual reality, Stereoscopy, Filmmaking, Visual Effects & photography form Norwich University of Arts, University of Edinburg, Wizcraft MIME & FXPHD, Australia.

Dr. Abhishek is passionate about media & entertainment industry. He has directed two animation short “AAKARSHAN” & “The Last Soul”; has been nominated in various national & International film festivals. Recently he has directed & submitted a short film from Banaras Hindu University for UGC Film making competition 2018. Dr. Abhishek was production In-charge of Animated series “CricX” & TV serial “Superhero”. Dr. Abhishek was actively worked for 90+ E-content development of EPg Pathshala (an initiative of the MHRD under its NME-ICT being executed by the UGC) &  He is actively working as a Course Coordinator of “Animations”, Computer Science course running on SWAYAM.

Dr. Abhishek is an active member American Association for the Advancement of Science, The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Society for Animation Studies, Singapore.

Total Marks: 100 ; Passing Marks: 40

Should you want a certificate, you have to register and write the proctored exam conducted by us through SWAYAM-NTA in person at any of the designated exam centers pan INDIA (The exam is optional for a fee of Rs 1000/- only)
