Overall Objective of this course is to develop awareness among the learners about the importance and need of incorporating modern ICT Skills in education. This course will give the learner a clear understanding of what is happening to different aspects of ICT worldwide. This course is also designed in a way to make the learners critically aware about the various issues in the integration of ICT in education. After completing this course, the learner will be getting familiar with the meaning, need, significance and emerging trends of ICT in education. This course will help the educators for upskilling themselves in accordance with the changing demands of the society.

    Dr. Ismail Thamarasseri

    Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, India, PIN: 686560
    Dr. Ismail Thamarasseri was born and grew up in Malappuram District, Kerala, India. He holds B.A., B.Ed., M.A. Sociology, M.A. English, M.Ed. and Ph.D. (Education) degrees.  He has qualified UGC-NET (Education, Sociology, Adult Education) and Central Teacher Eligibility Test. He started his teaching career at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Cheriyamundam, Tirur, Kerala and later worked in Farook Group of Educational Institutions Kottakkal, Kerala and Central University of Kashmir, Ganderbal, J&K. Presently he is working as an Assistant Professor at School of Pedagogical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala. He is the author of several books and published extensively in reputed journals. He has presented various papers at National and International conferences. He is an active member of several academic bodies.
