The course on Instructional Design will help the learner understand the concept of Instructional design and the use of technology and multimedia as tools to enhance instruction.

This course on Instructional Design helps the Learner to develop an understanding of history and evolution of Instructional Design, Principles and characteristics of the design and development of instructional material, the various competencies and skills in Instructional Design, design and development of e-learning materials and modes and models of Instructional Design and the role of teacher as an effective designer.

This course is part of approved University level curriculum for Master in Education(M.Ed.). It can be taken by students at any level of teacher education and in service teachers of different faculties. It will enable them to master all the ideas of Instructional Design.

Through the course you will learn and understand the creation of instructional experiences which makes the acquisition of knowledge and skill more efficient, effective and appealing.

Dr. Sajna Jaleel, Associate Professor at School of Pedagogical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala,

where she teaches Educational Research, Mathematics Education, Instructional Design and Quality Assurance in Education.

She is Ph.D. from University of Kerala. She is a post graduate in both Mathematics and Education from University of

Calicut and bachelors in Mathematics and Education from University of Kerala. Successfully completed 2 major projects

funded by UGC. Ably guided 10 Ph.D. students under the faculty of Education and supervising a number of research scholars.

She is serving as a Teacher Educator at Masters in Education (M.Ed.), M. Phil, Ph.D., and PDF programmes. She has a number

of books and research papers to her credit. Her areas of interest are Mathematics Education, Educational Technology,

E-content development, Instructional Design, Research in Education and Quality Assurance in Education

30 Marks will be allocated for Internal Assessment and 70 Marks will be allocated for external proctored examination
