The proposed course titled “Business Research Methods” covers, Meaning, types, criteria of good research, scientific approach to research in physical and management science, limitations of applying scientific methods in business research problems, ethical issues in business research, research process, problem formulation, preparation of business research plan/proposal.  Additionally the course studies, research design, and methods of data collection, data analysis and report writing. This course is relevant to the students who are studying commerce and management, further they can take up research projects.  Studying business research methods provides more professional and employment opportunity.  

Graduates with business research methods, find employment in research and development institutes, production, marketing, human resource management, finance departments etc., as a business analyst, market research analyst, financial research analyst, international market research analyst etc.,

Dr. G. Parameshwari, Course Coordinator of Business Research Methods under Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCSs) in SWAYAM platform.  She is a faculty in the department of  Commerce, PES College of Science Arts and Commerce, Mandya, has an 18 years  of teaching experience at UG and PG levels.  She has published 15 research articles in different UGC care Journals.  Participated and papers presented in 20 national and international conferences / seminars / workshops.

Course certificate

Assessment/Assignment marks will be considered for Internal Marks and will carry 30 percent for overall Result.

End Term Exam- will have 100 questions and will carry 70 percent of  overall Result.

*All students, who obtain 40% marks in in-course assessment and 40% marks in end-term proctored exam separately, will be eligible for certificate and credit transfer.
