The course on Cyber Security is very important in this digital era due to dependency on online operations, social media practices, upcoming technologies like IoT, IIoT, IoE, digitization and pervasive nature of mobile devices. Secure online operations and safe handling of devices are the need of the hour. One must understand the security challenges as well as the best practices that are essential to protect one from becoming the victims of cybercrimes. Fundamental knowledge in Cyber Security is very much required to understand the current status of cyber world. It is imperative to safe-guard the individual, society, organization and the government from the dangers of cyber frauds, scams, threats and attacks. A complete and Comprehensive course can achieve this. This course is an inclusive course that covers all the aspects essential for understanding and for further exploration in Cyber Security Domain.

Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science & Higher Education for Women,Coimbatore
Dr Padmavathi Ganapathi is the Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women (Deemed to be University), Coimbatore since 2007. She has 32 years of teaching experience and 18 years of research experience. Her areas of interest include, Cyber Security, Wireless Communication and Real Time Systems. She has executed funded projects worth 230.568 lakhs Sponsored by AICTE, UGC, DRDO and DST. Supervised 19 scholars at Ph.D level, she has more than 200 publications in Prestigious conferences and peer-reviewed journals. She is the life members of various professional bodies like CSI, ISTE, ISCA, WSEAS, AACE and AICW. Reviewer for many IEEE Conferences and Journals. She has visited many countries for technical deliberations. 

Course certificate

30% for in course Assessment & 70% of end term Proctored Exam.

There are two phases in the Course: the learning phase and the evaluation phase. Learning phase provides adequate materials required for continuous, self-phased learning. Evaluation Phase has two components: Internal and External.

For successful completion of the evaluation phase, one must get minimum 40% in Continuous Internal Assessment and External Proctored Examination. 30 Marks will be allocated for Internal Assessment and 70 Marks will be allocated for External Proctored Examination.

Candidates who complete all the required components successfully are eligible to  get the Certificate.
