Dr. Aasia Maqbool

University of Kashmir
Aasia Maqbool is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education,
University of Kashmir, Srinagar. She has been teaching various PG and
UG Courses in the Department such as Psychological Foundation of
Education, Guidance and Counselling, Mental Hygiene
andMeasurement and Evaluation.She obtained M.Ed and M.A. degrees
from the University of Kashmir. She has been awarded Gold Medal for
securing first position at masters level. and qualified state level
examination SET in 2010 andreputed national level examination UGC
NET in 2012. She started her research career in the same University to
obtain M. Phil. degree on the topic "Self Concept, Mental Health, and
Academic Achievement of Orphan and Non Orphan Adolescents ". She
worked for her Ph. D on the topic, “Self Esteem, Depression, Academic
Anxiety and Academic Achievement of Orphan Adolescents”. She has
published many research papers in the reputed journals, co-authored 1
book and attended many national and international conferences. She
has worked as subject expert of many e contents under MHRD and
MOOCs. She is working as CO PI for the project funded by NCERT New
Delhi.
