The broad course content include introductory aspect (consisting of key concept / terms, definitions of key terms, need and necessity of financial accounting), Introduction to conceptual part of double entry accounting process / accounting cycle, and a broad understanding of each stand of double entry accounting process including Journalizing, Ledger posting, Summarizing and preparation of final accounts.The course also discuss the treatment of various adjustments in course of preparation of final accounts. “Lecturing and demonstration” are the basic pedagogy adopted for this course.

The basic objective behind this course is to provide a conceptual understanding of double-entry system accounting process to the target learners. This course will facilitate understanding of key concept associated with finance and accounting and will also help the learners to understand the double-entry accounting process. Simultaneously the course will also offer hands on to the learners through structured numerical problems, there by meeting the basic objective of a clear understanding of financing and double-entry accounting.
