Here we have shared all the topics that are in the syllabus of Computer Application in Business in Master of Business Administration. CAB & MIS is a combination of two subjects that is Computer Application in Business and Management Information System. In Computer Application in Business (CAB), we study the fundamentals of the computer because it is used throughout many businesses and industries. Information system and information technology is a vital component of any successful business and is regarded as a major functional area like any other functional area of a business organization like marketing, finance, production, human resources (HR), etc.

Instructor bio

Dr. M S MAHESHAN

JSS Science and Technology University, Mysore, Karnataka

Dr. M S Maheshan holds a Doctorate in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Biometrics. He earned his Master’s Degree from SRM University in Chennai and is currently employed as the Assistant Registrar (Administration) at JSS Science and Technology University, where he manages administrative duties in addition to his academic role in the Department of Information Science & Engineering.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Maheshan was affiliated with Marwadi University in Gujarat and also fulfilled responsibilities associated with Gujarat Technological University.

Dr. Maheshan has spearheaded various workshops and conferences focusing on Data Mining and Analytics, Machine Learning, Android Application Development, and IoT. His teaching repertoire includes Management Information Systems and Business Analytics, alongside other technical subjects.

In addition, he has been actively involved as a member of the Scientific Committee for the Indo-US Conference on Emerging Trends in Health Care. Dr. Maheshan holds certifications from the British Council for an Upper-Intermediate level English Executive course and from Microsoft as a Technology Associate in Security Fundamentals. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Engineers (Membership Number: AM1716339).

Course certificate

Assessment/Assignment marks will be considered for Internal Marks and will carry 30 percent for overall Result.

End Term Exam- will have 100 questions and will carry 70 percent of overall Result.

All students, who obtain 40% marks in in-course assessment and 40% marks in end-term proctored exam separately, will be eligible for certificate and credit transfer.
