By Professor S M A Qadri   |   University of Kashmir
Learners enrolled: 3469

This course gives the students about awareness of the different sources of information available to academics, policymakers and the public on crime. This also understands the contested nature of what is (and is not) considered to be ‘crime’ and  knowledge of the contrasting schools of explanations that have emerged in relation to explaining criminal behaviour and crime causation. There was a long pending demand to have changes in IPC. Accordingly the Government is contemplating to change the said law and a new law known as " Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita " is likely to be law of the land in future.
