The proposed course titled on “International Business” covers the vital aspects and current trends in relation to international business. This course is relevant to the students who are studying business (Commerce and Management) subject and which will be helpful to foresee the opportunities available in business. Students equipped with knowledge of International Business will be in a position to recognize the dynamics of business in the international scene. Corporate now a days are seeking for multi talented job aspirants with a global outlook. Today, the world has changed and the International Business Environment profoundly influences the firms, Governments and individuals. 
‘International Business’ encompasses all those business activities that involve cross-border transactions of goods, services and resources between two or more nations. The transactions of economic resources include capital, skills, people, etc., for the international production of physical goods and services such as finance, banking, insurance and construction. This course is a comprehensive outlook which includes latest development on the frontiers of knowledge providing the insights of International Business and its dimensions. The objective of the course is to expose the students to the concept, versatility and dynamics of International Business. 

It aims at familiarizing the students with business environment at the International level including Institutions and agreements. Moreover this course also provides a platform to build the entrepreneurial skills that a future budding entrepreneur may wish to know about the business prospects. Hence, the proposed course will definitely be significant to the students.  

This course especially is designed with a pragmatic emphasis and an inclination towards the managerial aspect, thus encouraging students of different disciplines to explore International business as a career choice.

Dr. Ashwini S. brings 18 years of distinguished academic experience to her current role, with 14 years dedicated to postgraduate education and research excellence. Her scholarly contributions include two textbooks: Management of Banking and Insurance Services and Introduction to Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Ind-AS, alongside 20 research publications in reputable international and national journals. Currently serving as a research supervisor for six Ph.D. candidates under the Vidyavardhaka Research Foundation, University of Mysore, Dr. Ashwini specializes in Business Research Methods, International Accounting, Banking and Financial Services and Corporate Governance. Her multidisciplinary expertise, anchored by her doctoral degree in Human Resource Management and extensive research supervision across diverse domains, has established her as a recognized authority in contemporary business practices and research methodologies.

Dr. Ashwini's academic leadership is evident not only in her research but also in her key administrative roles and her dedication to sharing knowledge.". She has served as a Board of Studies (BOS) and Board of Examiners (BOE) member at leading institutions, while successfully organizing several national level seminars and conferences, along with two specialized workshops. Her role as Course Coordinator for International Business under MOOC demonstrates her pioneering approach to modern educational delivery. As a sought-after academic speaker, she has delivered 20 guest lectures as a resource person and chaired technical sessions at national conferences, reflecting her strong standing within the academic community and her dedication to advancing scholarly discourse in her fields of expertise.

1. End-Term Examination:
o    Weightage: 70% of the final result
o    Minimum Passing Criteria: 40%

2. Internal Assessment:
o    Weightage: 30% of the final result
o    Minimum Passing Criteria: 40%

3.Calculation of IA Marks:
o    Out of all graded weekly assessments/assignments, the top 50% (equal-weighted) shall be considered for calculation of the final Internal Assessment marks.
All students who obtain 40% marks in the internal assessment and 40% marks in the end-term proctored exam separately will be eligible for the SWAYAM Credit Certificate.
