Instructor bio

Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan

Indian Institute of Management (IIMB)


Professor Krishnan’s main areas of interest are strategy and innovation. He held the Jamuna Raghavan Chair in Entrepreneurship at IIMB from 2007-10. Professor Krishnan writes extensively, and has more than 140 publications spanning outlets that include refereed journals, the popular press, case studies, book chapters, and books. These include two books on innovation: From Jugaad to Systematic Innovation: The Challenge for India, published in February 2010, and 8 Steps to Innovation: Going from Jugaad to Excellence(co-authored with Vinay Dabholkar, and published by HarperCollins in March 2013). The latter won the Best Book Award 2013-14 from the Indian Society for Training and Development.


Prof. Vinay Dabholkar


Professor Vinay works as a catalyst in three areas: design thinking, culture of innovation and mindfulness. He is a co-author of the book “8 steps to innovation: from jugaad to excellence”. He has been a visiting faculty at IIM Bangalore and IIT Bombay. Over the past decade, he has helped several organizations in their innovation journey e.g. Airbus, Adobe, Oracle, Mindtree, Tech Mahindra, Wells Fargo etc. He also works with not-for-profit and government organizations in education and healthcare space. Prior to starting the consulting career, Vinay worked for a decade in Motorola in US and Sasken in Bangalore. He did his B. Tech. from IIT Bombay and PhD from SUNY Buffalo both in Computer Science.
