Er. Jayakar Sodagiri

Er. Jayakar Sodagiri, an Electrical & Electronics Engineer with a Post Graduation in International Business from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, focuses on qualitative and quantitative research. Currently teaching at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi, he specializes in International Business, Marketing Management, and Mathematical Modelling. With experience as a Commercial Broker at Mitsui & Co. India Pvt. Ltd., he managed marketing, sales, and customer relationships, handling export-import operations for various chemicals. Additionally, he taught MBA programs at Delhi School of Economics, covering International Business, Global Business Development, and Environmental Studies. He has authored a book on Marketing and developed online education modules for ‘epgpathshala’ under the Ministry of Education – NMICET. 




Ruchi Gupta

Prof. Ruchi Gupta - Professor Ruchi Gupta is an experienced educator currently working at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi. A commerce graduate from the highly acclaimed Shri Ram College of Commerce, she completed both her M.Com. and M.Phil. from the renowned Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. Thereafter, she obtained her doctoral degree in Commerce having worked in the area of advertising. She has also completed a certified course on Strategic Social Media Marketing from Boston University (MA, USA) and a course on Entrepreneurship from MIT, USA.

Prof. Gupta has presented her research papers in the field of Marketing and Advertising at many Indian and international forums. Many of her research papers are published in journals of national and international repute. Her papers have won Best Paper Awards at some esteemed conferences. She was the Keynote Speaker and the Conference Chair at a conference held at the Queen's College, University of Oxford, United Kingdom, in August, 2018. She was also the session chair at a conference organised by the European Advertising Academy in Slovenia in 2016 and at IPAG Business School in France in 2019. Three of her recent papers are listed in World Health Organisation's COVID-19 Research Database. Prof. Gupta has reviewed papers for a number of journals and conferences, including conferences organised by the European Advertising Academy, the European Marketing Academy.

Prof. Gupta has authored three books on Advertising and one on Marketing which are intended to cover the curriculum of academic advertising courses. She has also been a member of the Textbook Development Board, NCERT, (Class XII Business Studies Book).

Prof Ruchi Gupta is the recipient of ICBM-AMP Academic Excellence Award 2017 in the category of ‘Best Professor in Advertising’. Some other recipients of the Award in 2017 (in other categories) included professors from IIM Lucknow, ISB Hyderabad, Xavier Institute of Management (some of the top-most B-schools in India).

Prof Gupta believes that every day is a learning day in the life of an academician.
