“Indian
Knowledge System (IKS) and Human Resource Management (HRM): Work, Wisdom, and
Wellbeing” is an academic initiative
linking the rich heritage of Bharatiya Jnana Vyavastha (Indian Knowledge
Systems) and modern-day HRM concepts. Drawing from the very roots of ancient
Indian scriptures, philosophical treatises, and applied wisdom, the course
inculcates the usage of traditional knowledge to modern organizational
behaviour, employee wellness, and ethics of managing people. With reference to
Vaidika (Vedic) views and Smriti granthas (traditional texts), it combines the
classical approach seen in Arthashastra, Bhagavadgita, Yoga Sutras, and Epic
and other literature, giving the trainee an all-encompassing view of work,
wisdom, and wellbeing, considering both timeless values and modern HR
management precepts. This course has huge relevance in the current corporate
landscape, ethical issues, and disengagement. It linked back with ancient
Indian wisdom, providing sustainable remedies to work harmony, mindful-
leadership, and holistic employee development. In addition, it actively engages
in the global dialogue around conscious capitalism and spirituality in
management and promotes human-centered organizational cultures, thus
positioning Indian knowledge systems as a
very important component of HRM going into the future. For academics,
practitioners, and leaders, this course intends not just to impart theoretical
knowledge but, importantly, actionable wisdom to build workspaces that support
both productivity and human flourishing.
