The course is designed to familiarise the students with various aspects of The Companies Act, 2013. It begins with the historical evolution of company law in India and covers the legal framework governing the formation and incorporation of companies. This course also provides insights for preparation of the documents of companies. It explores the types of capital, issue of shares, transfer and transmission of shares, management of the company, statutory meetings and provision relating to meetings, winding up of a company and other latest amendments in the Act. This course also covers the role of regulatory bodies and emerging trends related to the company’s corporate governance. Designed for aspiring business managers, corporate administrators, and legal professionals, this course provides valuable insights into the regulatory environment governing corporations and prepares students for dynamic roles in the business, legal, and administrative sectors.

Dr. Sheril Michael Almeida

CHRIST University, Bangalore

Sheril Michael Almeida is an experienced academic professional with 24 years of experience, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students in the fields of commerce and management. She also engages coursework for Ph.D. scholars. She has completed M Com, MPhil and PhD. Since 2005, she has been an integral part of Christ University, Bangalore. She has worked in various capacities such as, Program Coordinator and Association Coordinator. Currently she is the Holistic Education Coordinator for the School of Commerce Finance & Accountancy. She is also the Coordinator for BCom Online Program. She has published many research articles in Scopus and WoS indexed journals. She specializes in Law, Motor Insurance, and Management. She is passionate about teaching in both offline and online platforms.
