Instructor bio

Dr. Alice Mani

CHRIST University, Bangalore

I am a professor with the Department of Commerce at CHRIST (DEEMED TO BE UNIVERSITY), Bangalore. As a research supervisor, I have guided six Ph.D. scholars—four from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore, and two from AMET University, Chennai—who have completed their doctoral degrees. In addition to my academic commitments, I have contributed to curriculum development and academic policy as a Board of Studies (BoS) member of the Department of Commerce with several colleges and universities.

 

In line with the NEP’s vision for digital transformation, I have also contributed to e-learning content development through two SWAYAM MOOC courses: one on income tax, developed with EMMRC Calicut (completed two cycles), and another ongoing course under the SWAYAM program in association with IIM Bangalore. I have authored 106 textbooks in commerce at PUC and degree levels, and twenty-two of my books were recommended textbooks for Bangalore University. My academic career spans more than 32 years, encompassing teaching, mentoring, research, and academic leadership. I have over 10 peer-reviewed publications indexed in Scopus and UGC CARE journals and an API score that meets UGC’s requirements.

Enrolling and learning from the course is free. However, if you wish to obtain a certificate, you must register and take the proctored exam in person at one of the designated exam centre’s.
