Course Overview:
This course presents the possibilities of using HR analytics required at different managerial hierarchal levels to navigate the VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) labyrinth. This course attempts to bring to the fore the compelling forces created by the changes in business environment and how the HR function needs to adopt HR analytics to add more value for business. The course begins by introducing fundamental terms used in Business analytics to familiarize the learner and set the context. Next the course traces the evolution of HR and the place of HR analytics in today’s scenario. The value created by HR is often difficult to quantify and the contribution to business is often established through circuitous paths. The course will discuss various metrics that business professionals can use to measure and monetize the value created by HR. The course also includes the basic statistical tests used in HR data analytics and its interpretations. Case scenarios in business organizations are used to demonstrate the use of HR analytics which can help the management take data-driven decisions and hence practice evidence-based management.

Dr. Priyanka Mishra is working as Associate Professor at Balaji Institute of Modern Management, Sri Balaji University, Pune. She brings in more than 18 years of experience in Academics and research in the areas of Business Analytics and Human Resource Strategy, Scorecard, Competency Framework, Mapping and Emotional intelligence. And she has expertise in data analytics software like SPSS, AMOS and Tableau. She has authored two books on Global Strategic Management and Data Analysis using SPSS respectively. She has published research papers indexed in UGC Care and SCOPUS to her credit. She has a PhD in HRM and MBA in HRM & Marketing from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. She also has an alumnus status of IIM Rohtak for pursuing an executive program on HR Analytics. She is also holding PGP degree on Business Analytics from MITWPU, Pune. She is an approved research guide of Sri Balaji University, Pune. She is a corporate and academic trainer in business analytics and HR strategy from almost a decade. She is a recipient of Outstanding Faculty Award in HR & Analytics at the 6th Asia Africa Award of Excellence 2022 and the Women Achiever’s Award by Punekar News 2024 for dedication and service to academia.
Given that this is a non-credit course, it is important to note that there will be no final examination. Consequently, learners will not receive a certificate upon completion of the course. This structure aligns with the academic nature of the program, emphasizing the absence of a formal assessment and certification process for non-credit courses.
