This course is designed to equip educators with the skills and knowledge needed to integrate design thinking and bringing innovation in teaching practices, aligning with the vision of the New Education Policy 2020. Each week focuses on specific aspects, providing a structured and comprehensive learning

experience over the six-week duration.

 

Course Objectives:

  • Understand Innovation and design thinking principles for education.
  • Develop an understanding of the imperatives of the New Education Policy of the Government of India
  • Apply design thinking to create student-centered curricula in line with NEP 2020.
  • Address student needs through human-centered design, fostering active engagement.
  • Apply design thinking in classrooms, strategic planning, and policy advocacy for continuous improvement.                                                              
  • Develop leadership skills for educational innovation and contribute to policy frameworks aligned with NEP 2020.

Rahul K. Mishra did his Master of International Business (MIB) from Delhi University. He has 26 years of experience in teaching training and academic administration. His research areas are strategies of Innovation and competition. He has conducted over 150 Management Development Programs (MDPs) in the last 15 years and trained 5000+ middle and senior-level executives in areas of strategy Innovation and Leadership. His MOOC course Innovation and Start-up Policy has been running since January 2020 on the Swayam- IIMBx platform with around 20,000 students registering for the course in the last seven semesters.

Prof. Nitika Seth versatile professional with 17 years of experience spanning diverse domains such as academia, media, brand communication, design, and entrepreneurship. Adept at seamlessly transitioning between roles and industries, with a wide-ranging skillset. Currently leading as the Dean, Department of Design at IILM University. Educational background includes Nift, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Jesus & Marys College. Industry experience includes working with the Zee Network, B.A.G Network, Times group*Worldwide Media and Multimedia group.
