This course provides a comprehensive understanding of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors and how businesses can integrate sustainability practices into their operations. Participants will learn the theoretical foundations of ESG, explore best practices for sustainable business strategies, and develop practical skills to implement ESG principles in real-world business scenarios. Instructor bio

Dr. Aditya Gupta

Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore

Dr. Aditya Gupta works as the COO for the TCI-IIMB Supply Chain Sustainability Lab at IIM Bangalore. He is a computer engineer and an MBA by qualification, and in 2019, he completed his PhD and shifted his gears from corporate to academic. Prior to his academic pursuits, he gained extensive experience in the corporate sector, holding various positions of responsibility at organisations such as Tata Group, TVS Group, Jindal Group, Virgin Mobile, and Moser Baer for a period of 23 years.

 

Sustainability is a subject that Dr. Gupta holds a deep passion for. He has built several tools, like the Transportation Emission Measurement Tool, the Carbon Accounting Tool to measure Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and others in the domain of sustainability.  He has collaborated with several organisations to establish environmental stewardship initiatives, enhance supply chain sustainability, and promote ESG practices. He has been writing on sustainability in the form of research papers, case studies, white papers, and leadership articles.
