Dr. Ruchi Jain is an experienced academician with over 19 years of teaching and research experience in the areas of Banking, Finance, and Insurance. She has been actively involved in making financial education more accessible and practical for learners across all backgrounds.
Her academic journey reflects a deep passion for simplifying financial concepts and connecting them with real-life situations. Dr. Jain believes that understanding money, finance, and risk is essential for every individual, and her teaching style focuses on clarity, application, and learner engagement.
She has successfully coordinated the SWAYAM MOOC on Banking and Insurance, launched in January 2024, which has benefitted over 25,000 learners globally. Enrolling and learning from the course is free. However, if you wish to obtain a certificate, you must register and take the proctored exam in person at one of the designated exam centres. The registration URL will be announced when the registration form is open. To obtain the certification, you need to fill out the online registration form and pay the exam fee of Rs.750/-. Grading Components:
Internal Assignment Score: This contributes 25% to the final grade. It is calculated based on the average of the best 4 out of 8 assignments submitted during the course.
Proctored Final Exam Score: This contributes 75% to the final grade and is based on the proctored final exam, which is scored out of 100.
Overall Course Score: The overall course score is the weighted sum of the internal assignment score and the proctored final exam score.
