This course is designed for students who already have a good foundation in French and want to achieve fluency in communication and acquire cultural understanding of France. The course emphasizes on vocabulary expansion, advanced grammar structures and fluent conversations.
This course aims to strengthen your ability to communicate in everyday situations: travel, work, study, or meeting new people. You will practice role-plays, gain information about dos and don’ts in France, explore cultural traditions and social etiquette in French-speaking countries. Through interactive activities, you will enhance your speaking, listening, and comprehension skills while developing a deeper appreciation for French culture.

in a meaningful way. French is not just a language—it’s a passport to art,

Ramya Jagannathan is a Multilinguist in Foreign Languages: French, Spanish, German and Italian from Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education and Institute of Foreign Languages and Culture. She headed the Spanish Language Pool at Swiss RE before becoming HOD of Spanish at Ebenezer International School where she prepared students for their Cambridge International Examinations.
Her passion
for teaching languages led her to Indian Institute of Foreign Language, where
her major role was to teach French online to employees at Mphasis Poland and
Mphasis India. Her tailor-made courses were a rousing success, and she taught
French at several universities online, such as CMR University, XIME University
and IZEE Business School through IIFL. She has 14 years of experience in
teaching foreign languages French, Spanish, German to numerous students from
India, UK, US, Singapore and Canada. For the past 4 years she has been Adjunct
Faculty at IIMB, teaching French on campus at IIMB, to Post Graduate students,
many of whom migrate to France and Canada for their Exchange Programs.
Enrolling and learning from the course is free. However, if you wish to obtain a certificate, you must register and take the proctored exam in person at one of the designated exam centres. The registration URL will be announced when the registration form is open. To obtain the certification, you need to fill out the online registration form and pay the exam fee of Rs.750/-. More details will be provided when the exam registration form is published, including any potential changes. For further information on the exam locations and the conditions associated with filling out the form, please refer to the form.
Grading Components:
Internal Assignment Score: This contributes 25% to the final grade. It is calculated based on the average of the best 3 out of 6 assignments submitted during the course.
Proctored Final Exam Score: This contributes 75% to the final grade and is based on the proctored final exam, which is scored out of 100.
Overall Course Score: The overall course score is the weighted sum of the internal assignment score and the proctored final exam score.

Eligibility for Certification:
To qualify for the course certificate, you must meet both of the following criteria:
