ABOUT THE COURSE:
The subject aims to develop the understanding of Entrepreneurship and the conceptual framework around it. The paper makes the students understand:
1. The theoritical backgroung of the subject;
2. The skills required to become an entrepreneur.
3. The diverse nature of business models, markets, how to frame strategies, evaluate markets and customers, costing and pricing, etc.
4. The funding bodies, Legalities of establishing a business, Accounting procedures, government policies and other frameworks necessary to establish and develop an entrepreneur.
At the end of this course, one will be able to create a strategy for launch and give a start-up the best possible chance for success.

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Students from diverse background

PREREQUISITES: Participants should be at least class 12th passed out.They maybe enrolled in UG or PG courses, or are professionals.

INDUSTRY SUPPORT: Anyone who wants to start their business: Education, Medical/Hospital, Hotel, Lawyer, Manufacturing Background would opt for this course.

Prof. Mohsin Khan

Aligarh Muslim University
Professor Mohd Mohsin Khan is an academician, researcher, and administrator with almost three decades of experience in the higher education system. He served as the Chairman, Department of Commerce and Dean, Faculty of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He held the office of the Proctor of AMU for more than three years. Along with that, he also held various administrative positions during the service. Presently he is serving as the Finance Officer since last 3 years. He has been teaching at both undergraduate as well as postgraduate level for more than 30 years.

His area of specialization is entrepreneurship, banking and finance, Financial institutions & market. He has published many research papers along with some books and monograph. He has attended/chaired numerous conferences, seminars, and other academic events at the national and international levels. He has guided around 20 Ph.Ds. In addition to his teaching and administrative abilities, he completed an ICSSR sponsored research project (Major)


Prof. Asiya Chaudhary

Prof. Asiya Chaudhary is a professor in Commerce with a standing experience of 20 years in University teaching and demonstrates expertise in Entrepreneurship, Direct Taxation, Business Statistics, Business & Managerial Economics, Marketing and Behavioural Economics (Consumer Behaviour) to undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. students in the Department of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Her research work includes trade, Marketing, Behavioural Economics, and Women Studies which are published in national and international refereed journals like Emerald, Sage, Elsevier, etc. She holds 4 books and 35 academic papers to her credit and has successfully completed 3 projects funded by ICSSR and UGC.

Recently, Asiya signed a MoU between the University of Houston (UH) and Aligarh Muslim University, collaborating internationally for a cause and implemented the SURE (Stimulating Urban Renewal through Entrepreneurship) program in AMU, an educational as well as a networking platform facilitating a value-added partnership between students, industry experts, and potential entrepreneurs from under-resourced communities and diverse backgrounds.

Course certificate

The course is free to enroll and learn from. But if you want a certificate, you have to register and write the proctored exam conducted by us in person at any of the designated exam centres.
The exam is optional for a fee of Rs 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only).
Date and Time of Exams: 25 October 2024 Morning session 9am to 12 noon; Afternoon Session 2pm to 5pm.
Registration url: Announcements will be made when the registration form is open for registrations.
The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid. More details will be made available when the exam registration form is published. If there are any changes, it will be mentioned then.
Please check the form for more details on the cities where the exams will be held, the conditions you agree to when you fill the form etc.

CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE

Average assignment score = 25% of average of best 8 assignments out of the total 12 assignments given in the course.

Exam score = 75% of the proctored certification exam score out of 100

Final score = Average assignment score + Exam score

YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR A CERTIFICATE ONLY IF AVERAGE ASSIGNMENT SCORE >=10/25 AND EXAM SCORE >= 30/75. If one of the 2 criteria is not met, you will not get the certificate even if the Final score >= 40/100.

Certificate will have your name, photograph and the score in the final exam with the breakup. It will have the logos of AMU and INI.

Only the e-certificate will be made available. Hard copies will not be dispatched.
