ABOUT THE COURSE:
पशुपालन एक तकनीकी प्रक्रिया है, जिसमें पशुओं की समुचित देखभाल, संतुलित पोषण, उपयुक्त आवास, पशु चयन, प्रजनन तथा स्वास्थ्य प्रबंधन जैसे महत्वपूर्ण घटक शामिल होते हैं। पशुपालन के माध्यम से न केवल मानव जीवन के लिए आवश्यक दूध, मांस, अंडे, ऊन, खाल तथा जैविक खाद जैसे बहुमूल्य उत्पाद प्राप्त होते हैं, बल्कि यह ग्रामीण एवं शहरी दोनों क्षेत्रों में स्वरोजगार और उद्यमिता के अनेक अवसर भी प्रदान करता है। साथ ही, यह खाद्य सुरक्षा और राष्ट्रीय अर्थव्यवस्था में भी एक अहम भूमिका निभाता है। आज पशुपालन लाखों लोगों की आजीविका का प्रमुख स्रोत बन चुका है।

इस पाठ्यक्रम का उद्देश्य शिक्षार्थियों को पशुधन उत्पादकता में वृद्धि, पशुओं के स्वास्थ्य एवं प्रजनन क्षमता में सुधार, तथा राष्ट्रीय अर्थव्यवस्था में सार्थक योगदान हेतु आवश्यक ज्ञान एवं कौशल से सुसज्जित करना है। इस पाठ्यक्रम के माध्यम से छात्र फार्म प्रबंधन, पशु चयन, पशु पोषण, आवास प्रणालियों, पशु स्वास्थ्य, तथा प्रजनन प्रबंधन/तकनीकों जैसे महत्वपूर्ण विषयों की विस्तृत जानकारी प्राप्त करेंगे। साथ ही, यह पाठ्यक्रम शिक्षार्थियों को न केवल सैद्धांतिक ज्ञान प्रदान करेगा, बल्कि उन्हें व्यावहारिक एवं तकनीकी दक्षता भी प्राप्त होगी, जिससे वे पशुपालन के क्षेत्र में शोध, उद्यमिता अथवा सेवाक्षेत्र में सक्रिय रूप से योगदान देने में सक्षम होंगे।

Instructor bio

Dr. Priya Ranjan Kumar

Banaras Hindu University
Dr. Priya Ranjan Kumar (B.V.Sc. & A.H., M.V.Sc. [Gold Medal], Ph.D.) is an Associate Professor in the Unit of Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex (TVCC) at the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (FVAS), Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Banaras Hindu University (RGSC-BHU). He completed his graduation with distinction and has been recipient of Gold medal, ICAR-JRF and INSPIRE fellowship. He has expertise in Animal Reproduction. With over 11 years of experience in teaching, research and extension, Dr. Kumar is actively engaged in clinical practices and various academic responsibilities. Research Interests: Peptide biology and female infertility.


Dr. Dayanidhi Jena

Dr. Dayanidhi Jena (B.V.Sc. & A.H., M.V.Sc., Ph.D.) is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Unit of Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex (TVCC) at the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (FVAS), Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Banaras Hindu University (RGSC-BHU). He has expertise in Animal Reproduction and over 6 years of experience in teaching, research and extension. He is actively involved in both clinical practices as well as academic commitments. Research Interests: Female infertility and stem cells research.


Dr. Anshuman Kumar

Dr. Anshuman Kumar (B.V.Sc. & A.H., M.V.Sc., Ph.D.) is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Genetics and Breeding (AGB) at the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (FVAS), Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Banaras Hindu University (RGSC-BHU). He is the recipient of Gold Medal in B.V.Sc. & A.H and the Dean’s Honour award in Ph.D. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Animal Genetics and Breeding from ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute and has over 6 years of experience in teaching, research extension. Research Interests: Quantitative and molecular genetics and Reproductive genetics

The course is free to enroll and learn from. But if you want a certificate, you have to register and write the proctored exam conducted by us in person at any of the designated exam centres.
The exam is optional for a fee of Rs 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only).
Date and Time of Exams: 24 October 2025 Morning session 9am to 12 noon; Afternoon Session 2pm to 5pm.

The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid. More details will be made available when the exam registration form is published. If there are any changes, it will be mentioned then.

CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE

Average assignment score = 25% of average of best 8 assignments out of the total 12 assignments given in the course.
Exam score = 75% of the proctored certification exam score out of 100

Final score = Average assignment score + Exam score

Please note that assignments encompass all types (including quizzes, programming tasks, and essay submissions) available in the specific week.

YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR A CERTIFICATE ONLY IF AVERAGE ASSIGNMENT SCORE >=10/25 AND EXAM SCORE >= 30/75. If one of the 2 criteria is not met, you will not get the certificate even if the Final score >= 40/100.

Certificate will have your name, photograph and the score in the final exam with the breakup. It will have the logos of INI and BHU.

Only the e-certificate will be made available. Hard copies will not be dispatched.
