ABOUT THE COURSE:
In Unani system of medicine, Mahiyatul Amraz (Ilmul Amraz) is a fundamental subject for understanding Unani medical perspective of diseases. This course will help students comprehend the classical Unani philosophy of etiology, pathogenesis, clinical features and diagnostic methods of diseases needed for developing their correct plan of treatment. We will start with the basics of Unani medicine, explore the concept of Mizaj & Akhlat, the classification of diseases in Ilmul Ahwal, and the approach for diagnosis of the exact cause in Ilmul Asbab & Ilmul Almat. After mastering this course, hopefully the students will achieve the crystal-clear concepts of Unani pathology that are essentially required not only in medical practice as Hakim but also for the preparation of advanced studies.

PREREQUISITES: Those passed the First Professional of BUMS

Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College
Dr Ataullah Fahad is MD in Kulliyat Wa Ilmul Amraz and working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Ilmul Amraz, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, having more than 20 years of teaching experience. His research areas/interest are basic concepts of Pathology in Unani System of Medicine, Asbaab-wa- Alamaat, Hepato-Biliary System and Cardio-vascular System. He has presented papers in conferences and seminars and published research papers on above areas in reputed journals. As a resource person, he has delivered lectures in several orientation programs..


Prof. Mohammed Yasir

Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College
Dr. Mohammed Yasir is MD & PhD and an alumnus of the NIUM, Bangalore, and Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He is presently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Ilmul Amraz, AMU Aligarh. His areas of interest are Unani fundamentals and neuropsychiatric disorders with more than 10 years of experience in Unani medical practice, education, and research. He has delivered invited lectures in many institutes across the country, presented papers in various national and international conferences and published several researches in indexed journals. Both the instructors were key members of NCISM committee for framing new competency-based curriculum for the subject Mahiyatul Amraz (Ilmul Amraz) in BUMS & MD programmes.

Course certificate

The course is free to enroll and learn from. But if you want a certificate, you have to register and write the proctored exam conducted by us in person at any of the designated exam centres.
The exam is optional for a fee of Rs 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only).
Date and Time of Exams: April 25, 2025 Morning session 9am to 12 noon; Afternoon Session 2pm to 5pm.
Registration url: Announcements will be made when the registration form is open for registrations.
The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid. More details will be made available when the exam registration form is published. If there are any changes, it will be mentioned then.

CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE

Average assignment score = 25% of average of best 8 assignments out of the total 12 assignments given in the course.
Exam score = 75% of the proctored certification exam score out of 100

Final score = Average assignment score + Exam score

Please note that assignments encompass all types (including quizzes, programming tasks, and essay submissions) available in the specific week.

YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR A CERTIFICATE ONLY IF AVERAGE ASSIGNMENT SCORE >=10/25 AND EXAM SCORE >= 30/75. If one of the 2 criteria is not met, you will not get the certificate even if the Final score >= 40/100.

Certificate will have your name, photograph and the score in the final exam with the breakup.It will have the logos of INI and AMU .

Only the e-certificate will be made available. Hard copies will not be dispatched.
