ABOUT THE COURSE:
The course entitled "Statistical Data Analysis with R" is a foundational course in statistical data analysis using R. It is beneficial for those who seeks career in data analytics or deals with data in academics or industry. This course covers all the important aspects of data analysis and the background statistical concepts in thorough manner. At the end of the course student will be able to deal with data organization, visualization, analysis, modeling of data and their presentation as dynamic document.

Prof.Athar Ali Khan

Aligarh Muslim University
Professor Athar Ali Khan is professor and chairman at Department of Statistics and O. R., AMU, Aligarh. He joined Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences, Shalimar, Srinagar (J & K) in 1986. In 1997 completed Ph D (Statistics) from CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hissar (Haryana). On July 27, 1998 promoted as Associate Professor and on July 27, 2006 as Professor Statistics. On June 25, 2009 joined Aligarh Muslim University as Professor Statistics. He had been recipient of UGC JRF during M Phil and CSIR Senior Research Fellow during Ph D at Hisar. Besides this, he was Principal Investigator in a project worth Rs. 14.23 lacs funded by the ICAR in Competitive Grant II during 2001-2003. Developed a software for data analysis in 2004. Published around 100 research papers in national and international journals and. He has guided 11 PhD students. His current area of research is Bayesian Statistics. He is member of advisory committee of Indian Bayesian Society. He has been receiving invitations from several Universities to deliver lectures in workshops and conferences on Applications of R software package for the last many years

Course certificate

The course is free to enroll and learn from. But if you want a certificate, you have to register and write the proctored exam conducted by us in person at any of the designated exam centres.
The exam is optional for a fee of Rs 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only).
Date and Time of Exams: April 25, 2025 Morning session 9am to 12 noon; Afternoon Session 2pm to 5pm.

The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid. More details will be made available when the exam registration form is published. If there are any changes, it will be mentioned then.
Please check the form for more details on the cities where the exams will be held, the conditions you agree to when you fill the form etc.

CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE

Average assignment score = 25% of average of best 8 assignments out of the total 12 assignments given in the course.
Exam score = 75% of the proctored certification exam score out of 100

Final score = Average assignment score + Exam score

Please note that assignments encompass all types (including quizzes, programming tasks, and essay submissions) available in the specific week.

YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR A CERTIFICATE ONLY IF AVERAGE ASSIGNMENT SCORE >=10/25 AND EXAM SCORE >= 30/75. If one of the 2 criteria is not met, you will not get the certificate even if the Final score >= 40/100.

Certificate will have your name, photograph and the score in the final exam with the breakup.It will have the logos of INI and AMU .

Only the e-certificate will be made available. Hard copies will not be dispatched.
