Chemistry is the study of matter and its properties. Chemistry is known as the central branch of science because it touches all other natural sciences like biology, physics, geology and many more. It has made a profound impact on the society.


This course is designed for class 11th on NCERT textbook pattern, it is intended to cover topics on Redox Reactions, Hydrogen, s-Block Elements (Alkali and Alkaline earth metals), The p-Block Elements, Organic Chemistry – Some Basic Principles and Techniques, Hydrocarbons, and Environmental Chemistry for the students of Class XI, Semester 2 specific, and others interested in general. The organic chemistry will cover some basic concepts like IUPAC nomenclature, classification of organic compounds, inductive effect, electromeric effect, hyper-conjugation and resonance. Fundamental concepts of organic reactions and mechanisms, qualitative, andquantitative analysis of organic compounds, hydrocarbons and its classification-alkanes, alkenes, alkynes and aromatic hydrocarbons have been discussed within the cognitive level of learners. In the unit of environment chemistry-various types of pollutants, waste management and concept of Green chemistry have been covered. 


This is a 6 months course categorized into week wise schedule. Each week, module(s) containing e-Text, video tutorial along with online quizzes and weblinks for extra study will be provided for learning.

Working in the area of Micro-scaling of Chemistry Experiments and Development of Educational Kits.

Course certificate

The final assessment will be conducted in the last week of the course i.e. from 24 May to 30 May 2022. The participants will get completion certificate if they score 70% and above in the final assessment.
