Since tourism studies consist of a variety of themes contributed by different disciplines like  history, sociology, anthropology ,economics, management, marketing, Geography, environmental sciences, agriculture etc.

It is logical to accept contributions from each and every disciplines and our attempt is to synthesise all within the ambit of tourism studies.

The present course provides you with an understanding of the tourists and hosts in the beginning and switch over to a discussion on the role of the guides and escorts in tourism industry. This is followed by two different kinds of case studies, like, products and operations and promotional skills.

At the end TS-2 course has included a few experiences of professional bodies involved directly or indirectly with tourism industry for long.

    Dr. Arvind Kumar Dubey is UGC-NET qualified and Ph.D from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University in Tourism Management. He has 19 years of total teaching experience including nearly 10 years of teaching experience at Indraprastha University’s affiliated Government of Delhi’s (Department of Higher Education) institute named Delhi Institute of Heritage Research & Management (Post-Graduate level). He has published 24 research papers/articles; three edited books and presented 35 papers at National/ International Conferences / Seminars etc. He also chaired/co-chaired/ acted as resource person in at least 14 conferences/conventions/workshops/seminars etc.

    He (as faculty) taught two papers related to Heritage Tourism Management at Post Graduate Level i.e. Master of Archaeology and Heritage Management and Master of Conservation, Preservation and Heritage Management (2 years course each) at DIHRM, Govt. of NCT Delhi.

    He is Managing Editor at Global Journal of Enterprise Information System (e- journal, Print Journal), GJEIS (www.ejournal.co.in/gjeis/index.php/). Two PhD has been awarded and 4 PhD scholars are enrolled.

    His area of interest lies in Heritage Tourism Management, Sustainable Tourism Development, Integrated Planning, Marketing, Geography of Tourism and Tourism Impact. He was Programme Coordinator of CTS, DTS, BHM, MHA, EMBAHM, MIHM and B.Sc in Fashion Design Programmes. As a Programme Coordinator he is currently involved in revision/development of tourism courses related CBCS, B.A (Vocational Studies) Tourism Management and BTS. He is Course Coordinator of 12 Courses related to BTS, MTTM/MTA and BAVTM (CBCS)

    Dr. Paramita Suklabaidya is an alumnus of Delhi University and Lucknow University. She is NET-JRF qualified (2000) and has her PhD from Lucknow University (2008).
    She was a Member of the committee constituted by CBSE for revising the existing course curriculum on Travel and Tourism as well as a Member of the committee constituted by AICTE on National Vocational Education Qualification Framework (NVEQF) for various levels in the field of Tourism Sector.
    She has presented papers in National and International Seminars and Conferences; and published 08 research papers in National and International Tourism Journals and co – authored chapters in three edited books as well as CBSE books on Tourism. She was the PhD Coordinator of the School, and at present she is coordinating CTS and DTS programmes of the School.

    Area of interest includes Crisis Management in Tourism, Tourism Marketing and SIT including Cruises and MICE – Event Management.
