Instructor bio

Dr. D. Ananda

Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi

Dr D. Ananda is a post-graduate in Political Science and holds M.Phil and Ph.D in Political Science from the University of Hyderabad (India’s Institution of Eminence). He has qualified  UGC NET in Political Science. He has a PG Diploma in Distance Education from IGNOU.  Anand’s research interest includes Indian Government and Politics, Constitutional Governance  and Western Political Thought. He worked on the topic ‘Politics of Constitutional Review in  India’ for his M.Phil, and his doctoral research was on State Response to Food Security: A study  of Public Distribution System. He has publications in refereed and UGC Care listed journals and written units for BA (Honours) Political Science. He has presented papers in national seminars.  Dr Anand is a life member of the Indian Political Science Association (IPSA). Prior to joining  IGNOU, he taught at St. Francis Degree College for women, Begumpet, Hyderabad, and  Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
