Maintenance and Testing of Electrical Machines

By Prof. Sanjay Agrawal & Mr. Akhilesh Kumar Tiwari   |   Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU)
Learners enrolled: 1081
Maintenance and testing of electrical machines are critical for ensuring their efficient operation and longevity. Regular inspections, lubrication, and cleaning help prevent breakdowns. Periodic testing involves checks for insulation resistance, winding resistance, and insulation condition to detect any faults early. Load testing assesses performance under operating conditions. Thermal imaging aids in identifying hotspots. Maintenance schedules should be adhered to for optimal machine health and safety.
