Indian Higher Education system is taking new shape due to
new regulatory norms and various ICT initiatives. Online learning is going to
be an integral component of pedagogy of higher education.
The teaching learning community needs to be aware about the
developments of online learning domain to harness the true potential of
education technology. Higher education system has to be prepared to implement
the online learning practices into the teaching learning processes. This course aims to provide awareness and capacity building on
conceptual background of Online Learning, various Digital Learning and Online
Learning Initiatives in India.
Dr. Ashish K. Awadhiya has done PhD in the area of Employability Skills and MA in Distance Education (Gold Medalist). He has completed M. Sc. In Life Science from School of Life Sciences, Devi Ahilya University, Indore. He has also done a Post Graduate Diploma in Quality Management. Currently he is working as Assistant Director (Training and Development), at Centre for Online Education (COE), IGNOU since 2011. Currently he is the Nodal Officer of SWAYAM MOOCs, National Coordinator- IGNOU.
Dr. Awadhiya has five years industry experience in Training and Development and Quality Assurance. He was managing in the Employee Training Management System, Developing and Coordinating Online Trainings and Training Need Assessment. He also worked in the field of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Clinical Data Management and Clinical Trial audits, System audits, Regulatory Inspections and SOP Management.
His are area of interest include Employability and Skill Development, Capacity Building and Trainings, Development and Implementation of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), Use of ICT in teaching and learning, E-content development, Mobile learning, Online learning, Open Education Resources (OER). He has published research articles on ICT, E-learning, MOOCs, Employability Skills and Mobile Learning.
Currently he is coordinating activities of IGNOU-SWAYAM MOOCs, IGNOU-Online Programmes, Learners’ Grievances Management (i-Gram) and NAAC.
