The course on "Environmental pollution and Sustainable management" is designed  to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the interplay between  the environment and human activities, along with the exploration of sustainable solutions to address contemporary environmental challenges. Environment Science is a mandatory course in all the undergraduate and diploma courses. The course content will contain recorded videos, which are based on the syllabus designed by the experts. All the participants, who are enrolled for the course, can take the course online. The students need to submit assignments and take proctored tests. On successful completion of the exam, the student shall be provided with a certificate declaring the participation and successful completion of the course by the candidate as per the guidelines.

Dr. P K Ghosh

Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai


Dr. P K Ghosh is currently working as Director, UTD, CSVTU. Dr. Ghosh has  more than 38 years of Teaching, Administrative and Research Experience. Before  joining UTD, CSVTU, Dr. Ghosh has served as a Principal and Head in multiple  institutes. He has published research papers in the domain of Environment Science  & allied areas in national and International Journals of repute. Dr. Ghosh has been a  coordinator in a Swayam MOOC Courses in previous sessions and successfully  completed it. 



Dr. Reecha Sahu

Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai

Dr. Reecha Sahu is a Ph.D. in Biotechnology, with a teaching experience of 5.5  years in the allied and applied life sciences disciplines. Her research area is in the  field of application of nanotechnology in environment and health sciences. She has  B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Biotechnology from reputed institutes with DBT  scholarship. She completed her Ph.D. in 2018 from NIT Raipur in Biotechnology  Discipline. Before CSVTU, she was a faculty in Biotechnology Department Amity University Chhattisgarh. Currently, 4 students are pursuing Ph.D. under her  guidance. She has taken video lectures in Swayam MOOCs course.

The online registration form has to be filled, and the certification exam fee needs to be paid.


CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE


30 Marks will be allocated for Internal Assessment (Final Quiz- Mandatory) which will be available at the end of the course and 70 Marks will be allocated for end term proctored examination.


A  minimum of 40% passing marks (i.e. at-least 12 marks in Internal Assessment (Final Quiz- Mandatory) & 28 Marks in external proctored examination) will be required for being eligible for SWAYAM Certificate.
