आज के तेजी से बदलते परिवेश में शिक्षार्थियों को मानव मूल्य और नैतिकता के साथ-साथ जीवन की विविध चुनौतियों से निपटने के लिए जीवन कौशल एक आवश्यकता है। यह पाठ्यक्रम शिक्षार्थियों को एक निरंतर विकसित हो रहे वैश्विक परिदृश्य में आवश्यक दक्षताओं के साथ सशक्त बनाने के लिए तैयार किया गया है, जो कि पारंपरिक शैक्षणिक ज्ञान से परे, आवश्यक जीवन कौशलों एवं समग्र विकास पर जोर देता है। यह पाठ्यक्रम पारंपरिक शिक्षा और आज की वैश्विक दुनिया की मांगों के बीच शिक्षार्थियों को उनके व्यक्तिगत, शैक्षणिक और व्यावसायिक जीवन में उत्कृष्टता प्राप्त करने एवं बहुमुखी कौशल से सम्पन्न बनाने पर ज़ोर देता है।
 
इस पाठ्यक्रम में शिक्षार्थियों के समग्र विकास हेतु आवश्यक जीवन कौशलों, जैसे- मानव मूल्य और नैतिकता, प्रभावी एवं पारस्परिक संचार कौशल, सहयोग और टीमवर्क की भूमिका, जीविका वृत्ति योजना और अवसरों की तलाश, सूचना और मीडिया साक्षरता, साइबर सुरक्षा और सूचना प्रबंध, डिजिटल दृश्यता और सोशल मीडिया कौशल, ऑनलाइन सामग्री निर्माण और मल्टीमीडिया कौशल, आधारभूत डेटा विश्लेषण और दृश्यीकरण, आदि पहलुओं के  समावेशन का प्रयास किया गया है।
 
यह पाठ्यक्रम मीडिया स्रोतों का मूल्यांकन करने, गलत जानकारी की पहचान करने, ऑनलाइन गोपनीयता प्रबंधन, और व्यक्तिगत ब्रांडिंग एवं नेटवर्किंग के लिए डिजिटल प्लेटफॉर्म्स का उपयोग करने में व्यावहारिक अनुभव प्रदान करता है। सैद्धांतिक ज्ञान को वास्तविक दुनिया के अनुप्रयोगों के साथ एकीकृत करके, यह पाठ्यक्रम शिक्षार्थियों को विभिन्न व्यक्तिगत और व्यावसायिक संदर्भों में उत्कृष्टता प्राप्त करने के लिए सशक्त बनाता है और उन्हें आधुनिक दुनिया की चुनौतियों के लिए तैयार करता है।

Instructor bio

Prof. Gagan Singh, M. Com., M. Phil. (Gold Medalist) and Ph. D. (Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla), Director, School of Management Studies and Commerce Programme Coordinator (Commerce), Uttarakhand Open University, Nainital (Uttarakhand) since 2007, Worked in various Projects, Funded by World Bank, University Grant Commission and Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India as a Field Investigator. Course Coordinator for the Courses Developed for SWAYAM and SWAYAM Prabha. Presently also working as a Member CIQA, NAAC (UOU), and Nodal Public Grievance Officer. Developed Self Learning Material for Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani, Guru Jambeshwar University, Hisar, M P BHOJ Open University, Madhya Pradesh, IGNOU, New Delhi. Published 50 research papers in reputed international and national journals/Magazine/Edited Books. Presented 18 research papers in international and national conferences. Area of Specialization: Accounting and Finance Areas of interest are: Public Sector Enterprises, Tourism, Open and Distance learning.

Prof. Ashutosh Kumar Bhatt is a distinguished academician at Uttarakhand Open University, specializing in Computer Science and Information Technology, with a Ph.D. in Computer Science (2009), his research focuses on Artificial Neural Networks. He brings over seventeen years of teaching and research experience, contributing significantly to PG and UG courses. Dr. Bhatt is a prolific researcher, credited with umerous publications in SCIE, ESCI, and Scopus-indexed journals. He actively participates in editorial roles for national and international journals. He has authored and edited books on C#, Technology Enabled Learning, and introductory programming. His project work includes funded research on automated quality assessment using neural networks, IoT-based water quality systems, and medicinal knowledge portals. He holds multiple patents and a copyright. Dr. Bhatt has been recognized with awards from CSI and Adarsh Vidya Saraswati Rastriya Puraskar, highlighting his contributions to academia and technology.

Dr. Gopal Datt is working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Vocational Studies at Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and has over eight years of teaching experience at the level of higher education (UG / PG). His areas of expertise include ICT applications in Open and Distance Learning (ODL), Vocational and Skill Development, Programming Languages, Software Engineering, etc. Dr. Datt has developed several skill-based courses for the university, including Digital Marketing, E-Office Management, Data Science and Applications, Web Designing, Technology-Enabled Learning, and Communication Skills. He is the course coordinator for the following SWAYAM MOOCs- Entrepreneurship Skills and Digital Marketing Strategies (Medium: English), Fundamentals of Financial Inclusion and Cyber Safety (Medium: English), Workplace Skills for 21st Century Learners (Medium: Hindi). In addition to his academic responsibilities, Dr. Datt is actively involved in various research projects funded by prestigious organizations such as UCOST, Dehradun; CEMCA, New Delhi; and the National Institute of Himalayan Environment, Koshi-Katarmal, Almora. He has also published over 15 research papers in reputed national and international journals indexed in SCI, SSCI, Scopus, and UGC CARE databases.

Lalita Bisht is working as Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science and IT, Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani, with prior teaching experience at MIET Kumaon, Haldwani. She has over 06 years of teaching experience at department of computer science DSB CAMPUS Kumaun University, Nainital, mentoring graduate and postgraduate students. She did her MCA from Uttarakhand Technical University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Kumaun University. Her research includes Machine Learning, Augmented Reality, Cloud Computing, and Data Security, with publications in reputed journals like IJARSE and IJIACS. She has presented papers at international conferences, including ICMEMS-2023 (MNIT Jaipur) and multiple IETE conferences. She also served as an Organizing Secretary for an IPR workshop at Uttarakhand Open University in collaboration with UCOST (March 2024). She has been actively involved in curriculum development and digital learning initiatives.

The online registration form has to be filled, and the certification exam fee needs to be paid.


CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE


30 Marks will be allocated for Internal Assessment (Final Quiz- Mandatory) which will be available at the end of the course and 70 Marks will be allocated for end term proctored examination.


A  minimum of 40% passing marks (i.e. at-least 12 marks in Internal Assessment (Final Quiz- Mandatory) & 28 Marks in external proctored examination) will be required for being eligible for SWAYAM Certificate.
