Indian philosophy is considered a central point of Indian Knowledge systems. To know about Indian knowledge systems we have to study the different schools of Indian Philosophy. This particular MOOC on Indian Philosophy attempts to help the learners across the disciplines know about Indian knowledge systems. Studying this course, learners will not only be able to explore some basic concepts of our Vedic system, which is considered to be a treasure trove of knowledge, but also be able to discuss the different issues explored by  different schools of Indian Philosophical system.  Over and above, this course concisely attempts to explore social, moral, religious, and spiritual aspects of our day-to-day life. Therefore, this course will help our learners irrespective of disciplines to search the roots of our knowledge systems by studying the different schools of Indian philosophy.

Dr. Bhaskar Bhattacharyya is Senior Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University, India. He received his MA and PhD from Gauhati University, India, in 1999 and 2008, respectively, and served as a Junior Research Fellow of the Indian Council of Philosophical Research in 2001. His areas of interest are philosophy of language and analytic philosophy, and he has published a number of papers in these fields. He is also the author of the book Analytic Philosophy of Wittgenstein.

Dr. Tejasha Kalita serves as an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University, located in Guwahati, Assam, India. She achieved her M.A. degree from Gauhati University in Assam, India, in the year 2005. Subsequently, she pursued her Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, also situated in Assam, India, and successfully completed it in 2013. As a Project Associate, she conducted a minor research project on Ethnic Philosophies, funded by the ICPR, at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. Dr. Kalita's academic pursuits and research areas primarily encompass Applied Ethics, Social & Political Philosophy, and Contemporary Indian Philosophy. Her dedication to these fields is evident through her substantial contribution of numerous research papers.
