This course provides a comprehensive coverage of all the essential and basic concepts of financial management and provides required basic knowledge of Finance to all the students/practicing managers, as this is a core course. Students who want to learn more about Finance can choose Finance as their specialization and learn Finance in more detail.

Dhanesh
Kumar Khatri is Professor in School of Management Studies (SOMS) at
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi since July
2024. Prior to joining IGNOU Dr. Dhanesh has about 35 years of
experience out of which 31 years of teaching and research experience at IMS,
Bikaner (AICTE approved MBA institute affiliated to state university in
Rajasthan) and 4 years with Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd., Mumbai.
Under his guidance Eleven scholars have completed their doctoral degree (PhD)
in Management Discipline.
Dr.
Dhanesh holds a doctorate degree (PhD) in Management from FMS, MDS University,
Ajmer (Rajasthan), his research topic was Prediction of NBFC’s Sickness in
India. In 2004 his PhD research work was awarded Best PhD Thesis Award in UGC
sponsored National Seminar cum PhD Contest organized by M. M. Institute of
Management, Mullana (Haryana). In 2013 his research paper presented in
International Seminar jointly organized by Indian Accounting
Association and Saurashtra University, Rajkot was awarded Best Research
Paper Award.
Dr. Dhanesh has to his credit of authoring six books published by
Tata McGraw Hill Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, PHI, New Delhi and Macmillan Publishers
India. Apart from this his 25 research papers/articles have been published in
international and national journals and he has presented papers in about 40
plus international and national conferences/seminars.
