This course gives you an easy and practical introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI). You will learn what AI is, how it works, and what terms like machine learning and deep learning mean. You will learn key AI tools that can help you work more efficiently. The course also explains the risks of AI and who controls it. How data affects it, and how to use AI safely. By the end of the course, you will be able to think carefully about AI tools and make responsible choices while using them. This course has been developed as a joint initiative of the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in partnership with IGNOU, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Supriya Bhuwalka
Founder: CODING & mORE

Supriya Bhuwalka is the Founder of Coding and More, an award-
winning all-women-run edtech pioneering responsible AI literacy for K-12 students since 2019. She designed India’s first 100+ hour AI Education Pathway aligned with Carnegie Mellon’s AI4K12 guidelines, implemented in leading schools including Cathedral & John Connon and Bombay Scottish. A UNESCO panelist and GIZ Expert Committee member for Digital Skills to Succeed, Supriya’s work on AI upskilling is featured in the UN International Forum on AI and Education Report 2022.Recipient of the Nasscom 2023 Social Changemaker Award, she serves on the UN AI for Good Steering Committee and leads global AI literacy initiatives with MIT RAISE, UNFPA, and India AI.

The course is free to enroll and learn from. But if you want a certificate, you have to register and write the proctored exam conducted by us in person at any of the designated exam centres.

The exam is optional for a fee of Rs 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only).

Registration URL: Announcements will be made when the registration form is open for registrations.

The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid. More details will be made available when the exam registration form is published. If there are any changes, it will be mentioned then.

Please check the form for more details on the cities where the exams will be held, the conditions you agree to when you fill the form etc.

Criteria to get a Certificate

30 Marks will be allocated for Internal Assessment (Final Quiz- Mandatory) which will be available at the end of the course and 70 Marks will be allocated for end term proctored examination.

A minimum of 40% passing marks (i.e. at-least 12 marks in Internal Assessment (Final Quiz- Mandatory) & 28 Marks in external proctored examination) will be required for being eligible for SWAYAM Certificate.
