Information represented, accessible, or stored in a variety of media and formats that helps learning are Learning Resource Materials. It includes books, electronic & printed journals, web resources, audio visual materials, social media, learning objects and newspapers, databases, digital and printed archives & special collections. That is, it is a collection of information stored in a way that facilitates learning. Managing these learning resources at different levels needs to consider various parameters such as proper planning, organization, technology etc. to support principles of resource based teaching and learning. These parameters are very crucial to consider in the initial decisions on learning resources management; otherwise, one cannot expect to get utilized fully these resources. But the creating such a vast learning resources needs investment. To maximize utilization of resources with minimum investment, one needs to follow thoughtful and skilled management strategy. Managing such type of resources is an ongoing process which varies from one part to another but all designated people have to play a major role in managing these resources. Whole process can be classified into four categories and they are (a) acquisition which includes budgeting, purchasing, and binding (b) organization and maintenance which includes cataloguing and processing, accessing; intellectual, physical, digital and assessing, (c) circulation that considers automation and security and (d) promotion.

Dr. Uday Chand Kumar

National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Kolkata
Dr. Uday Chand Kumar, Professor & Head, Department of Civil Engineering, has been working in the domain of Rural development, Rural water supply & sanitation and Health assessment of concrete structure. He has coordinated more than 200 training programmes on the said topics.





Dr. Samiran Mandal
, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, has been working in the domain of Manufacturing Technology, Product Design, Robotics and Research Methodology. He has coordinated more than 150 training programs on Manufacturing Technology and Teaching Learning Systems

If You wish to Get certified on this course you must register and write the proctored exam conducted by SWAYAM in person at any of the designated exam centers.
  • The Registration fee for the proctored exam is Rs 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only).
  • Date and Time of Exams: December 2020 / January 2021 (tentative)
  • Announcements will be made when the exam registration form is open for registrations along with the url
  • The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid. More details will be made available when the exam registration form is published. If there are any changes, it will be mentioned then.

CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE:
  • Internal assignment score = 30%, The average of best 3 assignments out of the total assignments given in the course.
  • Exam score = 70% of the proctored exam score out of 100
  • Final score = Average assignment score + Exam score
  • You will be eligible for a certificate only if average assignment score >=10/30 and exam score >= 30/70
  • Certificate will have your name, photograph, roll number and the percentage of score in the final exam. It will have the logos of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), SWAYAM and NITTTR. 
  • Only the e-certificate will be made available. Hard copies will not be dispatched.
