Self-directed learning can be challenging, even for the brightest and most motivated students. The course introduces the learner to the need: New challenges and trends; concept of Learning Material and its purposes; essential characteristics of SLMs; general principles of Learning Material Development; process of developing Self Learning Material; structure of Self Learning Materials; producing prototype; validation.

Dr. Sunil Dutt

National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Chandigarh.

Dr. Sunil Dutt is Professor, Education & Educational Management at National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Chandigarh since November, 1992. He holds M.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry, Master of Education and Ph. D. (Education). He has 2½ years’ experience in industries and 32 years’ experience in teaching, research and consultancy projects. His areas of specialization include Educational Technology, Research Methodology, Guidance & Counseling, Measurement & Evaluation and Educational Management. He has to his credit 05 text books, 49 research publications. Besides, he has guided 27 M.Tech. Engineering Education and 30 Ph.D. thesis.

If You wish to Get certified on this course you must register and write the proctored exam conducted by SWAYAM in person at any of the designated exam centers.

The Registration fee for the proctored exam is Rs 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only).

CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE:

Internal assignment score = 30%, The average of best 3 assignments out of the total assignments given in the course.
Exam score = 70% of the proctored exam score out of 100
Final score = Average assignment score + Exam score
You will be eligible for a certificate only if average assignment score >=10/30 and exam score >= 30/70
Certificate will have your name, photograph, roll number and the percentage of score in the final exam. It will have the logos of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), SWAYAM and NITTTR.
Only the e-certificate will be made available. Hard copies will not be dispatched.
