Hello viewers. I would like to welcome you to register for the course on Accreditation of Undergraduate Engineering Programmes . My name is R.K.Dixit and it’s my pleasure to be the coordinator of this course along with my team Dr. Sanjay Agrawal - Co-coordinator, Dr. A.S. Rocha, Dr. Subrat Roy and Dr. Sharad K. Pradhan. NBA accreditation is a quality assurance scheme for higher technical education. It is open to all Institutions in Engineering and Technology, Management, Architecture, Pharmacy, Hotel management and Catering Technology, Town and Country Planning, Applied Arts and Crafts in India which provide technical education to students. Accreditation is a process of quality assurance and improvement, whereby a programme in an approved Institution is critically appraised to verify that the Institution or the programme continues to meet and exceed the Norms and Standards prescribed by AICTE from time to time. In this course, we will learn about accreditation of undergraduate engineering programmes by National Board of accreditation based on Outcome based approach. This course will explain you intricacies of outcome-based approach and will enable you to apply for accreditation and go through the complete process of accreditation.

Prof. R. K. Dixit

National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research, Bhopal
Prof. R.K.Dixit is currently working as Professor in the Department of Management Education at National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research, Bhopal. He is having 33 years of experience in training, education, research, industry, consultancy and extension activities. He has published more than 50 research papers. He has conducted more than 50 visits for accreditation of under-graduate and post graduate engineering programmes as well as diploma (engineering) programmes as a chairman and an expert-member. He has been consultant, the World Bank, The Govt. of Madagascar, National Project Implementation Unit and various state governments for technical education.

 Prof. S. Agrawal is currently working as Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering Education at National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research, Bhopal. He is having 27 years of experience in training, education, research, industry, consultancy and extension activities. He has published more than 50 research papers. He has conducted more than 40 visits for accreditation of under-graduate and post graduate engineering programmes as an expert-member.

Dr. Sharad K. Pradhan
is working as Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering Education at NITTTR Bhopal under the aegis of Government of India. He did his Ph.D from Mechanical Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, India. Before joining NITTTR in 2003 he was a Scientist in ‘Design & Simulation Group’ at ‘Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute’ (CMERI), Durgapur, (WB), India. He has coordinated and organized more than 300 short term courses and workshops for Technical teachers of Polytechnic and Engineering colleges of our country in including (NITTT-AICTE MOOCs), Accreditation for UG/PG programs (SWAYAM-MOOCs) and Webinar series on NBA Accreditation. He has developed Outcome Based Curriculum for four states of the country for Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Allied disciplines. He is a member of NBA Evaluation Team for Mechanical Engineering UG/Diploma Programs. He has published four patents.

Interested Learners can enroll and learn the course for free. 
If You wish to Get certified on this course you must register and write the proctored exam conducted by SWAYAM in person at any of the designated exam centers.
  • The Registration fee for the proctored exam is Rs 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only).
  • Date and Time of Exams: 2nd Saturday & Sunday of November (Tentative)
  • Announcements will be made when the exam registration form is open for registrations along with the url
  • The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid. More details will be made available when the exam registration form is published. If there are any changes, it will be mentioned then.
  • Please check the form for more details on the cities where the exams will be held, the conditions you agree to when you fill the form etc.

CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE:
  • Internal assignment score = 30%, The average of best 3 assignments out of the total assignments given in the course.
  • Exam score = 70% of the proctored exam score out of 100
  • Final score = Average assignment score + Exam score
  • You will be eligible for a certificate only if average assignment score >=10/30 and exam score >= 30/70
  • Certificate will have your name, photograph, roll number and the percentage of score in the final exam. It will have the logos of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), SWAYAM and NITTTR. 
  • Only the e-certificate will be made available. Hard copies will not be dispatched.
