National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh





Dr. Maitreyee Dutta was graduated in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Guahati University in 1993. She was the Gold medalist in her batch even All Branch topper of that year. She is working in National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Chandigarh since 2001. She is now the Head of the department of Computer Science and Engineering. From July 2015 to 2017 , she was Professor and Head of Electronics and Communication Engineering department and from 2017 to 2019, she was head of the department of Educational Television Centre of the same institute. She had initiated many activities in Computer Science Department. She backed two projects from Ministry of IT, New Delhi and one project from Ministry of Social Justice. Besides these she had backed grants from AICTe to conduct FDPS, ATAl Programmes, Grant for Conference etc. She has set up Cyber Security Lab in her department and now planning to create a Centre of Excellence Laboratory in Cyber Security and give the international fame to that lab. She is guiding Ph.d students in Image Processing and in Internet of Things and already four students have been awarded, one submitted the thesis.  She conducted free courses for the under-privileged students in collaboration with Social Welfare organization under UT Govt., Chandigarh   and for this she was awarded Rota Women distinction Award  by Rotary Club Chandigarh midtown in 2013. She had also received  Best Teacher Award from Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, Uttar Pradesh in 2013. After joining in  Electronics and Communication Department, she initiated hands on projects on Robotics by the students. Under her guidance, the students participated many robotics competition at IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, Baba Farid University, Chandigarh University, Gharuan etc. She initiated to establish Innovation Laboratory in the institute and also established one Start UP named Enovate Skill in the institute. She was given the charge as overall MOOC Coordinator and overall coordinator of ARPIT Courses by the director of NITTTR Chandigarh under which institute could launch 7 MOOC courses and 2 ARPIT courses till date out of which three are AICTE-NITTT modules. She had published 150 papers in International and National Journals and conferences. 








Prof Shyam Sundar Pattnaik is presently the Director of National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh. The institute is an autonomous institute of Ministry of Education, Govt. of India established in the year 1967. Before joining to the post of Director, Prof Pattnaik served as Vice-Chancellor of Biju Patnaik University of Technology, a Technical University of Govt. of Odisha. Prof Shyam Sundar Pattnaik completed his Post-Doctoral Research from University of Utah, USA and PhD in Engineering (Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) from Sambalpur University, Odisha. Under the able supervision and guidance of Prof SS Pattnaik, 23 (Twenty-three) students have completed their PhDs and one more is pursuing his PhD work. He has 52 ME thesis to his credit and has published about 280 papers in journals and conferences of repute. He has two international books and four international book chapters to his credit. A recipient of BOYSCAST FELLOWSHIP from DST, Govt. of India, Prof Pattnaik also is warded with SERC Visiting Fellowship, INSA Visiting Fellowship, UGC Visiting Fellowship, Distinguished Faculty Award, National Educational Excellence Award, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Excellence, Bharat Excellence Award, Institutional Leader Excellence Award, Certificate of Commendation for excellent efforts in sponsored research scheme, Life Time Achievements in Technical Education, Merit certificate (National scholarship) Best paper Awards, etc. He is a Life Fellow of IETE, Life Member of ISTE and Senior Member of IEEE, USA. Prof Pattnaik is a known researcher in the field of antenna and soft computing and their application to biomedical. He is the brain behind the use of Google Hangout to conduct Faculty training Programmes started in the 2012, thus opening a new approach in digital pedagogy. During his tenure as Vice Chancellor, Prof Pattnaik brought out many innovative approaches in the University. Prof Shyam Sundar Pattnaik is involved in the various national and international committees in the capacity of Chairman and member. In his opinion, education achieves its goal when, in true sense, gets integrated to societal and industrial needs. He believes that socio-digital-pedagogy will be the new norms for teaching-learning that will stand on the platform of partnership and networking. As an academic administrator his slogan is “United we work, Together we achieve and Team we win” He is a strong believer and preacher of the thinking of “Think Good, Do Good and Be Good” and work in the mantra of “I can do it”.

If You wish to Get certified on this course you must register and write the proctored exam conducted by SWAYAM in person at any of the designated exam centers.
  • The Registration fee for the proctored exam is Rs 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only).
  • Date and Time of Exams: 2nd Saturday & Sunday of November (tentative); 
  • Announcements will be made when the exam registration form is open for registrations along with the url
  • The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid. More details will be made available when the exam registration form is published. If there are any changes, it will be mentioned then.
  • Please check the form for more details on the cities where the exams will be held, the conditions you agree to when you fill the form etc.

CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE:
  • Internal assignment score = 30%, The average of best 3 assignments out of the total assignments given in the course.
  • Exam score = 70% of the proctored exam score out of 100
  • Final score = Average assignment score + Exam score
  • You will be eligible for a certificate only if average assignment score >=10/30 and exam score >= 30/70
  • Certificate will have your name, photograph, roll number and the percentage of score in the final exam. It will have the logos of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), SWAYAM and NITTTR. 
  • Only the e-certificate will be made available. Hard copies will not be dispatched.
