In the era of Knowledge-based society, technical education has assumed an indisputable significant role. The new developments in information technologies have an opened-up fresh perspectives in teaching and learning. The ICT enabled methods shall help the teachers to offer quality e-content; for both - education in classroom situation and to a large number of populations in a structured, flexible, interactive, blended, flipped and open way.
This course on ‘ICT in Teaching and Learning’ shall enable the teachers’ to select and integrate ethically appropriate ICT pedagogy in teaching-Learning processes in Teacher and Learner Directed Learning environment. Explore the emerging trends in Open Educational Resources (OER), Learning Management System (LMS) platforms for developing Small Private Open Learning (SPOCs) and Massive Open Online Learning Courses (MOOCs), aspects of Mobile learning. Most importantly the teachers’ shall - fortify the ethical-intellectual property rights, copyright handling, legal, security and software related issues in using ICT.
This course is aimed at building the capacity of aspiring teachers and in-service teachers like you, for transforming the educational culture and teaching-learning system of Institution.

Dr. James Mathai is Associate Professor at National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Bhopal M.P. He is having 37 years of experience which includes education, training, research. He has conducted numbers of teachers training programmes, taught PG Programmes- Master in Technical Education and Computer Technology and Applications. He has published 51 research papers in National and International conferences/Journals and has wide experience in curriculum development, using Information and Communication Technologies for producing instructional video, offering online training programmes (SPOC & MOOC), managing Learning Managing System (LMS), delivering webcast lectures, producing MOOCs, etc. Dr. K. James Mathai is M.Sc., MTech.Ed, Ph.D. in the area of Technical Education and Technology enabled Teaching and Learning.






Dr. R. K. Kapoor is Associate Professor at National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Bhopal M.P. He is having 28 years of experience which includes Education, Training, Research, Curriculum development, Learning resource development. He has conducted numbers of teachers training programmes related to Educational Technology and allied areas , and Computer science and applications, taught PG Programmes- Master in Computer Technology and Applications, and Technical Education. He has published 48 research papers in National and International conferences/Journals and has wide experience in the area of using Information and Communication Technologies for producing instructional video, offering online training programmes (SPOC & MOOC), delivering webcast lectures, producing MOOCs, development of Outcome based curriculum, managing wide computer networks etc.  Dr. R. K. Kapoor is M.Sc., M.B.A., Ph.D. in the area of Computer Applications.

If You wish to Get certified on this course you must register and write the proctored exam conducted by SWAYAM in person at any of the designated exam centers.
  • The Registration fee for the proctored exam is Rs 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only).
  • Date and Time of Exams: 2nd Saturday & Sunday of November (tentative); 
  • Announcements will be made when the exam registration form is open for registrations along with the url
  • The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid. More details will be made available when the exam registration form is published. If there are any changes, it will be mentioned then.
  • Please check the form for more details on the cities where the exams will be held, the conditions you agree to when you fill the form etc.

CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE:
  • Internal assignment score = 30%, The average of best 3 assignments out of the total assignments given in the course.
  • Exam score = 70% of the proctored exam score out of 100
  • Final score = Average assignment score + Exam score
  • You will be eligible for a certificate only if average assignment score >=10/30 and exam score >= 30/70
  • Certificate will have your name, photograph, roll number and the percentage of score in the final exam. It will have the logos of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), SWAYAM and NITTTR. 
  • Only the e-certificate will be made available. Hard copies will not be dispatched.
