Week 1 & 2: RESEARCH DESIGN

Overview of research process and design, Use of Secondary and exploratory data to answer the research question, Qualitative research, Observation studies, Experiments and Surveys. – Case Studies

Week 3, 4 & 5: DATA COLLECTION AND SOURCES

Measurements, Measurement Scales, Questionnaires and Instruments, Sampling and methods. Data - Preparing, Exploring, examining and displaying.

Week   6, 7 & 8: DATA ANALYSIS AND REPORTING

Overview of Multivariate analysis, Hypotheses testing and Measures of Association. Presenting Insights and findings using written reports and oral presentation.

Week 9 & 10: INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Intellectual Property – The concept of IPR, Evolution and development of concept of IPR, IPR development process, Trade secrets, utility Models, IPR & Bio diversity, Role of  WIPO and WTO in IPR establishments, Right of Property, Common rules of IPR practices, Types and Features of IPR Agreement, Trademark, Functions of UNESCO in IPR maintenance.

Week 11 & 12  PATENTS

Dr. G.Janardhanan, M.E.,Ph.D (USA)., Professor and Head, Department of Curriculum Development Planning & Coordination.
He has been working in the domain of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Sustainable development in infrastructure, Technology enabled instruction, experiential and activity-based instruction.  He has coordinated more than 150 training programmes for National participants and 18 International programme in the area of Sustainable Development, Green building concepts, Water Quality Analysis, Geo-environmental Engineering, Blended and Flipped Classroom, Technology Enabled Teaching Learning, Student Evaluation and Instructional Design and Delivery. He has transformed through training more than 260 international participants and 2500 plus national participants. He has developed virtual laboratory for environmental engineering laboratory and handled several national and international projects in the area of engineering, technology and Engineering Education. He has been recognized as an expert by UNESCO Bangkok on MOOCs in Higher Education

If You wish to Get certified on this course you must register and write the proctored exam conducted by SWAYAM in person at any of the designated exam centers.
  • The Registration fee for the proctored exam is Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand only).
  • Date and Time of Exams: 2nd Saturday & Sunday of May (tentative):
  • Announcements will be made when the exam registration form is open for registrations along with the url
  • The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid. More details will be made available when the exam registration form is published. If there are any changes, it will be mentioned then.
  • Please check the form for more details on the cities where the exams will be held, the conditions you agree to when you fill the form etc.

CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE:
  • Internal assignment score = 30%, The average of best 3 assignments out of the total assignments given in the course.
  • Exam score = 70% of the proctored exam score out of 100
  • Final score = Average assignment score + Exam score
  • You will be eligible for a certificate only if average assignment score >=10/30 and exam score >= 30/70
  • Certificate will have your name, photograph, roll number and the percentage of score in the final exam. It will have the logos of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), SWAYAM and NITTTR. 
  • Only the e-certificate will be made available. Hard copies will not be dispatched.
