Teaching is a profession that creates all of the other professions. Teachers are the asset of any nation as they shape young minds into future leaders, thinkers, and societal contributors. The demands of academic life are extremely stressful to students where Mentoring and counselling is the need of the hour.   Mentoring is an interpersonal relationship that fosters support between a mentor and a learner. Counselling is the provision of professional assistance and guidance in resolving personal or psychological problems. Mentoring and counselling have been given a good focus in NEP 2020. In this context, this course will provide the much needed knowledge in mentoring and counselling students.

Dr. S. RENUKADEVI

National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research
Dr. S. Renukadevi holds a Doctorate in Computer Applications (Engg. Education), Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling and Masters in Computer Applications. She has 32 years of experience in Teaching and Research. Her expertise includes Pedagogy, Educational Psychology, Soft Skills, Gender Studies, Guidance and Counselling, Mentoring, IKS, UHV, Transactional Analysis, NLP and Healing Techniques (Reiki, Energy, Mudra and Sound).  She has coordinated more than 300 short term training programmes. She has trained 300 international teachers and administrators. She has organized Workshops, Symposiums and Conferences. She is affiliated to organizations such as IAAP, ISPA and InSPA. She has authored several research papers and chapters in books. She has trained around 40,000 learners through SWAYAM Course on “Student Psychology”. She has produced 5 Ph.D. dissertations and currently guiding 3 scholars in Engineering Education. She has attended several National and International Conferences. She has visited Germany, UK, US, Ireland, Scotland, Switzerland and Malta. Her interest in Educational Psychology has resulted in new methodologies in teacher training. She is a trained NLP practitioner. Her current focus area is on Well Being of Students and Teachers.

If You wish to Get certified on this course you must register and write the proctored exam conducted by SWAYAM in person at any of the designated exam centers.
  • The Registration fee for the proctored exam is Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand only).
  • Date and Time of Exams: 2nd Saturday & Sunday of May (tentative):
  • Announcements will be made when the exam registration form is open for registrations along with the url
  • The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid. More details will be made available when the exam registration form is published. If there are any changes, it will be mentioned then.
  • Please check the form for more details on the cities where the exams will be held, the conditions you agree to when you fill the form etc.

CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE:
  • Internal assignment score = 30%, The average of best 3 assignments out of the total assignments given in the course.
  • Exam score = 70% of the proctored exam score out of 100
  • Final score = Average assignment score + Exam score
  • You will be eligible for a certificate only if average assignment score >=10/30 and exam score >= 30/70
  • Certificate will have your name, photograph, roll number and the percentage of score in the final exam. It will have the logos of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), SWAYAM and NITTTR. 
  • Only the e-certificate will be made available. Hard copies will not be dispatched.
