Outcomes:
• Identify
and explain the functions of basic passive and active electronic components
used in electrical and electronic circuits.
• Analyze
different types of signals and sources, and calculate key parameters such as
RMS, average, and peak values.
• Apply
operational amplifier configurations and concepts to solve basic analog signal
processing problems.
• Demonstrate
understanding of digital logic fundamentals, including Boolean algebra, logic
gates, flip-flops, and counters.
• Interpret
the working principles of AC and DC circuits, transformers, and motors, and
analyze their performance in practical applications.
Dr. R.
Suja Mani Malar
is working as an associate professor in the Department of Electrical and
Electronics Engineering, NITTTR, Chennai. She received a B.E. degree in
Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University
and an M.E. degree in Process Control and Instrumentation from Annamalai
University. She had completed a Ph.D. degree in the area of control and
instrumentation from Anna University, Chennai. She also obtained MBA (Education
Management) degree from Alagappa University. She has over 25 years of teaching
experience. Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, control and
Instrumentation, electric Vehicle Technology, electric drives control, and IOT.
She has published 75 research papers peer reviewed journals and conference
proceedings. She has an additionally seven patents published. She has also
published two textbooks. She is a life
member of ISTE, IAENG, and IACSIT.
She has successfully guided five
research scholars in completing their Ph.D. degrees at Anna University,
Chennai, and is currently supervising three more researchers.
