This course is about fundamentals of basic circuits comprising passive elements such as resistors, capacitors and inductors and working principles and applications of active circuits comprising of diodes, transistors and OPAMPs. This course content is also called analogue electronic circuits. Similarly, the content about digital electronics comprises basics of combinational logic by combining logic gates and sequential logic comprising of flip-flops, the fundamental block of memory devices.

Dr. Amrtha Bhide

NIT Puducherry

Dr. Amrtha Bhide earned his Ph.D. in Physics- Materials for energy storage applications from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras(IIT Madras) in 2008. He has completed his postgraduate degree M.Sc. in Physics from IIT Madras and B.Sc. from Mangalore University, Karnataka, India. Dr. Bhide is serving as Associate professor at NIT Puducherry, Karaikal. UT of Puduchehry, India. Prior to joining NIT Puducherry, he has received post-doctoral fellowships from German Research Foundation and BASF, the chemical company to pursue research at two leading German Universities namely University of Muenster and Justus Liebig University Giessen. Dr. Bhide is active researcher in the field of Materials Science of Energy storage devices and published several international journals and conferences, two book chapters etc. He is passionate about teaching Engineering physics, Basic Electronics, Research Methodology etc. Apart from these, he has served the institute with various capacities such as Associate Dean Students Welfare, HoD- Department of Phyiscs, Coordinator for NEP2020 for effective implementation at NIT Pondicherry. Currently, he is also serving as HoD- Department of Education approved by National Council for Teachers Education(NCTE).

Course certificate

"The SWAYAM Course Enrolment and learning is free. However, to obtain a certificate, the learner must register and take the proctored exam in person at one of the designated exam centres. The registration URL will be announced by NTA once the registration form becomes available. To receive the certification, you need to complete the online registration form and pay the examination fee. Grading Policy:

 

- Internal Assignment Score: This accounts for 30% of the final grade and is calculated based on the average of the best three assignments out of all the assignments given in the course.

- Final Proctored Exam Score: This makes up 70% of the final grade and is derived from the proctored exam score out of 100.

- Final Score: The final score is the sum of the average assignment score and the exam score.

 

Eligibility for Certification:

 

- To qualify for a certificate, you must achieve an average assignment score of at least 10 out of 30, and an exam score of at least 30 out of 70. If one of the 2 criteria is not met, you will not get the certificate even if the Final score >=40/100.

Certificate Details:

 

- The certificate will include your name, photograph, roll number, and the percentage score from the final exam. It will also feature the logos of the Ministry of Education, SWAYAM, and NITTTR.

- Certificate Format: Only electronic certificates (e-certificates) will be issued; hard copies will not be dispatched.
