By Dr. R. Suja Mani Malar   |   National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research, Chennai
Learners enrolled: 631

The Electrical Circuits course provides a comprehensive foundation in
electrical circuit theory and applications. It covers essential concepts
such as electric charge, current, voltage, and power, along with
fundamental laws like Ohm’s Law, Kirchhoff’s Laws, and circuit analysis
techniques. Participants will explore AC and DC circuits, resonance,
three-phase systems, and practical applications. This course equips
learners with the knowledge and problem-solving skills required for
careers in electrical engineering and related fields.

COURSE OUTCOMES

  •    Explain basic electrical concepts, including charge, current, voltage, and power.
  •   Apply circuit laws (Ohm’s Law, KVL, KCL) and analysis techniques (nodal, mesh).
  •  Analyze AC circuits, including phasor representation and impedance calculations.
  • Solve circuit problems using theorems like Thevenin’s, Norton’s, and superposition.
  • Evaluate resonant circuits and their practical significance.
  • Demonstrate understanding of three-phase circuits, power calculations, and load balancing.
