Learners enrolled: 321

The course on Environmental Engineering (Public Health Engineering) is developed and offered at the Diploma level of study. Environmental Engineering is a crucial field that ensures sustainable development by addressing water supply, wastewater management, and pollution control. This course provides fundamental knowledge of water sources, demand estimation, water purification, conveyance and distribution, sewage treatment, and sewerage systems. Learners will develop a strong understanding of environmental sustainability and engineering practices in water and wastewater management.

India faces significant challenges in water management and pollution control due to rapid urbanization and industrialization. Government initiatives like the Namami Gange Programme and Swachh Bharat Mission highlight the urgent need for skilled professionals in environmental engineering. At the global level, frameworks such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), emphasize the role of engineers in ensuring clean and sustainable water resources. This course will help students bridge the gap between local and global environmental challenges and solutions.

The course is designed with:

Engaging Video Lectures: Expert-led sessions to simplify complex concepts.

Interactive Assignments: To understand the mechanism to rollout NEP in educational ecosystem.

Discussion Forums: Collaborate with peers and instructors for a rich learning experience.

              Case Studies

Self-Assessment Quizzes: Evaluate your progress and reinforce key concepts
