Module 1: Introductory module of e-Learning course on angles and their measurement and their conversions, concept of T-Ratios of allied angles

Module 2: Sum, difference and product formulae. T-Ratios of multiple and sub-multiple angles. Graphical representation of trigonometric functions.

Module 3: Concept of functions, limits, differentiation of algebraic, trigonometric functions.

Module 4: Introduction to complex numbers, real & imaginary parts of complex number, representation and conversion from one form to other, conjugate, modulus and amplitude of a complex number, arithmetic operations on complex numbers and De-movier’s theorem and its application.

Module 5: Proper and improper fractions, partial fractions, resolving proper fraction into partial fractions when denominator containing (i) non-repeated linear factors (ii) repeated linear factors and (iii) irreducible non-repeated quadratic factors.

Module 6: Permutations and combinations, Binomial theorem and binomial approximations with applications to engineering problems.

Dr. Jagadeeshwar Pashikanti is an accomplished assistant professor in Mathematics in the Department of Science and Humanities at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Tiruchirappalli. He has completed his M.Sc (Mathematics and Scientific Computing) at N.I.T. Warangal in the year 2004 and Ph.D. (Mathematics) at N.I.T. Warangal, Telangana, India, in the year 2018. His research interests are Fluid Mechanics and Computational Fluid Dynamics. He published about 25 papers in various reputed journals, along with two book chapters. He has supervised 02 Ph.D. students and guiding 2 more. He has reviewed research articles in various national and international journals. He has 21 years of teaching experience.

Course certificate

"The SWAYAM Course Enrolment and learning is free. However, to obtain a certificate, the learner must register and take the proctored exam in person at one of the designated exam centres. The registration URL will be announced by NTA once the registration form becomes available. To receive the certification, you need to complete the online registration form and pay the examination fee. Additional details, including any updates, will be provided upon the publication of the exam registration form. Grading Policy:

 

- Internal Assignment Score: This accounts for 30% of the final grade and is calculated based on the average of the best three assignments out of all the assignments given in the course.

- Final Proctored Exam Score: This makes up 70% of the final grade and is derived from the proctored exam score out of 100.

- Final Score: The final score is the sum of the average assignment score and the exam score.

 

Eligibility for Certification:

 

- To qualify for a certificate, you must achieve an average assignment score of at least 10 out of 30, and an exam score of at least 30 out of 70. If one of the 2 criteria is not met, you will not get the certificate even if the Final score >=40/100.

Certificate Details:

 

- The certificate will include your name, photograph, roll number, and the percentage score from the final exam. It will also feature the logos of the Ministry of Education, SWAYAM, and NITTTR.

- Certificate Format: Only electronic certificates (e-certificates) will be issued; hard copies will not be dispatched.
