ARPIT 2019 Examination - Last Date 17 January 2020
Dear Learners,
The final exam based on MCQ type test would be conducted by NTA on 16 Februray 2020.
Last Date for Exam Registration: 17 January 2020

I
would like to draw your attention to the Last date for submitting both
assignments (31 December
2019). Many learners have not yet submitted the
assignments. A video mentioning how to create and submit assignments is
uploaded as part of contents on swayam portal. It can also be accessed from the
following link.

As course completion date is 15 January 2020, it wont be possible to extend the last date. So, the learners who have not submitted the assignments are requested to submit both assignments on or before the last date.
Two tests (based on MCQs) would be uploaded on 1 January 2020 and would be available till 14 January 2020.
It is essential to submit all assignments and tests as these marks would be counted for your internal assessment.

Regarding examination
Dear Learners,
I have received some queries regarding swayam examination being conducted in November 2019. I would like to let you know that this exam is not for ARPIT courses. The final exam for ARPIT courses would be conducted by NTA in the month of February 2020. You would be notified about the same.
As the enrollments to the course are open till November 2019, assignments and tests would be uploaded from the first week of December. This would enable the learners who have registered late to submit their assignments & tests. You would be notified about the same through announcements. Kindly login to your swayam account regularly from December first week for updates.

Format of ARPIT courses
Dear Learners,
Greetings on behalf of the National Resource Centre, Sant
Gadge Baba Amravati University. I would like to share the format of ARPIT i.e. online
refresher courses offered on SWAYAM as prescribed by MHRD.
Duration of the course is
16 weeks beginning from 1st September
2019 upto 31st December 2019. The course will be offered in the
form of MOOC on SWAYAM platform and will consist of 40 hours learning material. Out of which, 20 hours (i.e. 50% of the
duration) will be covered by video lectures and remaining 20 hours will be
dedicated for e-contents (supporting reading material), assignments, etc. In
line with the guidelines, it is attempted to constrain the length of each video between 8 to 12 minutes ensuring learners engagement.
So although the total number of videos are more, they are short duration videos
only. The course contents would be
uploaded in parts at the beginning of every week and would be accessible throughout
the duration of the course.
The final course assessment will have weightage for both external and internal
assessment in the ratio of 70:30. External
examination will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), details of
which would be shared by SWAYAM at the end of the course. Internal assessment will
be based on various assignments and tests that would be posted according to
schedule and learners would be provided reasonably sufficient time to upload their
work. It may be noted that submission of
assignments and tests is compulsory for internal assessment. Certificates
would be issued by SWAYAM to the learners after successful completion of the
course.
We would be connected
through the discussion forum throughout the duration of the course. Its use for
posting queries and doubts will be appreciated. You are requested to periodically log into your SWAYAM account
for accessing new videos and other material and getting updates about
assignments and tests.

experience.
